I loved watching this full reaction. It's almost funnier seeing you act out the memes haha! I'm so glad this episode turned the tide for you. There's so much more to come, but the ending is so worth it! Also, if I could recommend some other BLs, like the others, I would recommend Love in the Air and it's spin off series, The Wedding Planner.

About corruption in political/police/justice systems in Thailand. (other options with similar plots are: Manner of death and laws of attraction, but Not me is most popular) A tale of a thousand stars - A great story, good introduction to BL. Less queerness but a very interesting look into more traditional Thai culture/life in the mountains up north. Bad Buddy - More of a "traditional" "typical" BL, so it's a popular choice for first BL. Set in uni with an enemies to lovers trope. The main couple have great chemistry. My school president - Similar to Bad Buddy, it's a more standard typical BL. Highschool boys in a band. Great (original) music and the main couple is amazing, great actors & singers with amazing chemistry. It's a very cute show. I told sunset about you - Very well produced again. More about self-discovery around queerness. Actors are amazing. Korean BL: The eighth sense - Actors are great and have amazing chemistry. The cinematography is beautiful. Deals with mental health issues in a great way. Semantic error - More of a "standard" BL again. Uni and enemies to lovers. I'd say the #1 most popular Korean BL. The actors again are amazing together. Japanese BL: Cherry magic - Very much a comedy BL. Very cute story about men at office age's so early 30's. Different from all the uni stories. If i think of any more I will add them.

2024-07-25 21:52:02 +0000 UTCWhat an interesting episode. I appreciated Kinn’s apology and almost fell for this make-up episode until the little twist at the end before they leave the ravine. The handcuffs serve the plot line well but I’m sorry, that’s just a manipulative move from Kinn to sit on that knowledge admittedly for his own benefit. (I know we saw Porsche doing similar things at the start, but that was early on and mostly lighthearted. I don’t think they’re equal reveals 🤷🏻.) And then Kinn ‘allows’ Porsche to have a choice, which is finally the one good thing he’s offered, but it just hits me differently after seeing that bit of manipulation. I also have a hard time accepting apologies on SA from the perpetrator. As someone who’s been there, it doesn’t sit well with me. I think if someone is violent to you once, there’s a decent chance they’re going to be violent again at some point (at least without further help/therapy/introspection/work/etc.) and it may be wise not to take that chance. Especially if the person is steeped in an environment where violence is a norm. But that’s a subjective opinion based on my own experiences. Porsche is what, only 23 here, he’s had no experience like this before, so I can understand his forgiveness and acceptance when he sees Kinn’s obvious care for him. But both things can be true, people can show care and still be violent. And Kinn obviously has his own stuff to work through. Not that the series is going to go that way, I’ve never watched it before-just, in the real world, it’s a dangerous game of chance. Aaand of course, I’m bringing my own baggage to this viewing. I’m not trying to discourage anyone else’s love for this series or this episode in particular. The show creators and actors did do it very well! I just have a different takeaway on the relationship to a lot of what I’m seeing here, and it’s interesting to me. I’ll still be watching along. I’m actually kind of annoyed at my reaction after reading other people say this episode is when the relationship was accepted by them. It’s a show for entertainment, I like watching the dynamic of Kinn-Porsche, the characters are fun and believable together. And yet 🙃

Love in the air has been dismissed as bland by some people but I think it’s great and the couples in its two love stories have real chemistry.

2024-07-24 12:28:00 +0000 UTCThat’s the thing about a lot of BLs, the deep ones get you really invested in the plot and the characters and then you are emotionally attached and are left adrift when they end. BLs have a way of storytelling in the really good ones that make you want to watch and rewatch not for the plot or the romance, but because they do a great job of using the micro gestures, the music, the little nuances in the story to pull you in emotionally. Personally I’ve had a few that always suck me in, like Until We Meet Again, KinnPorsche, PitBabe, Last Twilight. I really recommend all of those. They are on my watch and rewatch list and always get me so emotionally invested no matter how many times I watch. It’s like I am always watching for the first time…I get BL brain fog or something

Nearly every character (even the smaller side ones) have a lot of nuance built into them and acted by the great cast. Its a complicated world in this show and Kinn and Porsche's relationship will go through a lot in the rest of the season. I'm glad you have warmed back to up the show though and hope you see it through to the end cause there is a lot of interesting plot left to see. Also this is probably more a headcannon than anything but Kinn wanting to be a singer and having that taken away from him makes me think that he was probably someone who encourage his younger brother Kim to persue that dream.

No pun intended, but the kiss in the waterfall is a watershed moment because if you look carefully, you can see Porsche leaning into the kiss as Kinn pulls away, so even before they have that conversation about crossing the line and forgiveness, you can see that Porsche has forgiven Kinn. You’re right that they have great chemistry. This episode is one of my favourites because it explores how they respond to each other when everything else is stripped away. I am speculating wildly about how you are going to process everything that is still to come and how you’re both going to feel about it. Alex, you mentioned death waiting in the wings for a major character, but I don’t think you are ready for what is actually in store for you…it’s a lot.🫣

He doesn't follow through with the waterfall kiss because he is full of guilt and won't take anything else away from Porsche until he has his forgiveness. He apologizes three times in total (including the apology at the end of dinner) but what really shows his contrition is when he first frees Porsche and then takes a bullet for him. That sacrifice matches the hurt that was done to Porsche and absolves him, not only in Porsche's eyes, but also in our eyes as well. We know Kinn is capable of brutality and selfishness but he puts that aside to obey the better angels of his nature because he loves Porsche. That's why this episode slays. Because it sells the pairing and now you want them to be together ❤️

He does give off master manipulator vibes but also clear everyone is onto him (except Porsche, god bless him). Kinn's been warning him to stay away since ep 2 too. I find it interesting it happens before daddy even asked him to keep an eye on Porsche (which a lot of people forget too). Dude has all the tabs on Kinn lmao probably knew who Porsche was before he did. It's so pathetic but endearing. I feel Bible is great portraying how obsessed he is.

It works like reddit or Twitch or FB . 1) First you create an account (free ), preferably (not necessarily) under a pseudo, to protect your private life 2) Then you search for the name of their discord group ( the same as here) and you join them, it takes one click is all. 3) they have sections with different topics in the vertical menu on the left. Scroll down to find the BL forum . It is divided into two sections, the discussion salon, very active, and the section where you are meant to recommend your favourite BL series . Check that to see if your series is already in it. You will get step by step help and general guidelines , people are welcoming and helpful with newbies 4 ) "to dm" is to send a "Direct Message" at someone, using the @and name attached, like for Twitter . you will get help to find who the mods are = moderators . Here on Patreon our moderator is Sam. There should always be at least one to remind people of the rules and check that people respect a netiquette. I think they are often subscribers who have been there from the start, who volunteered for this time-consuming activity and were vetted for it. 5) some people posted their suggestions directly, but in order to have them taken into account in the official list, it's better to tag ( dm a mod by adding his @name ) as you post .

This is such a beautiful episode; they would not be able to bond as equals without this experience. It was such a joy to see Kinn happy without the many masks he had to wear daily. He can't even trust his sidetwink, as he can never know who is with him only for money/info/to betray him.

2024-07-23 19:49:49 +0000 UTCThis is the turning point. A lot of Porsche's hesitancy and hurt was due to the fact he thought Kinn didn't care about him. The punishment, is him saying Porsche is just another bodyguard, which was Kinn trying to convince himself he was not caring for Porsche differently. You can see Porsche disliked the mafia because he disliked the disparity he himself suffered when he needed to make sacrifices because there was no way out. But he doesn't really care about the morality of it, he himself partakes in different levels of quote-unquote immoral acts for the survival of his family. He killed that man, and he felt bad because he saw himself and his uncle in him. And he projected the need to protect his family. Different situations though, it was implied he was stealing from the mafia he made his own bed with and also was trying to ambush Kinn. The thing about Kinn so far, is no one they are going after is innocent. Now that Porsche knows Kinn cares, and he cares about Kinn, he kills without hesitating. Just a few clarifications: they had to keep moving because while the guards were looking for them, so would the kidnappers. The cuff thing, Kinn wanted more time close to Porsche, not only to apologize but he was probably scared Porsche would leave him. The thing is, if he had taken the cuffs off, he would probably have died when he almost fell off the cliff and was held by Porsche. There was no way that knife would cut through his arm lmao Especially not with one strike. You would need to break the bone, also use pliers for tendons, and you need to leave blood vessels for last and use a tourniquet. These idiots would both die. You were right about the thumb. Kinn would probably know how to dislocate it too, if they didn't have a knife. I guess Porsche didn't get to the cuffs part of his training. Pete is the worst undercover stakeout person ever, poor dude. As for Vegas, everyone knows the minor family is not trustworthy. Kinn is very aware of Vegas' obsession with him and the mole most likely works for him. He is probably the number one suspect in his list of people trying to kill him. He knows Vegas wants his place, that his uncle wants his father's. He also knows his uncle dislikes him taking over, as shown in episode 2, when he blames Kinn for Porsche's behavior, saying shit changed since he took over. Also, since you've seen ep 4 and even in this one. Notice how Vegas is always switching to english. Now, I would advise you to rewatch the scene where the mystery man talks to the girl who attacked Kinn to get info on Porsche in ep 2.

We are so familiar with this iconic moment, yet they made me think again about it , as seen through a queer lense. The A and B explanation by Alex was eye-opening. And i believe they finally were convinced that KP shows a lot of vital clues through cinematography and acting , more than just what the dialogues deliver . It can be fleeting though, you might well miss it the first time . They both missed what happened with the rock/ paper /scissors game of Porsche that was to decide whose hand would be cut . Porsche and Kinn both chose the rock, so both won . So why did Porsche unfold his fingers and shape two of them like scissors, slowly opening them ? It has me in a chokehold every single time I watch.... It is beautifully thought and executed . Porsche is silently saying "I am willing to lose and give up a hand for you" . The expression on his face is priceless . But the gesture itself adds one more significance : it symbolizes a separation, parting for the two of them . Still, even when the two fingers are parted, they can't go anywhere, as they are rooted and belong together . Also, in direct opposition with the previous episodes , we go from Kinn's brutal and unexpected single line threatening index gestures or pointing of a gun, to a slow gesture by Porsche that could be a phoenix opening its wings ( faraway birds in a sky can be drawn as a simple V) and that is a dual shape. Kinn's choice was the rock/ stone . So it is such a meaningful metaphor for both his emotional state and his incapacity to open, but also the mental and social weight that is crushing him down . Porsche is the one giving them hope with his selfless choice , opening up, and finding the solution. Porsche is the solution.

I also just want to say that I totally agree with what Alex and Josh pointed out in that not all situations, relationships, or simply "this world" can't be seen as black and/or white... Porche caught that in their first game and in the ravine, he deliberately chose scissors to lose. This is also your obligatory reminder that the special story should be watch next before ep 7.

2024-07-23 16:19:03 +0000 UTCI love this episode, with them kinda funny arguing and trying to survive/find their way out of the woods seeming incompetent at times, but skillful at others and trying to tease each other and got to bond without outside destraction as you said. Yes that fall could have killed them or at least might have given them a concusion or broken something like maybe their wrist since they were still handcuffed together. I love that they finally got to have a propper talk, and that final kiss and hug was quite sweet, and so noble of Kinn to let Porsche go, at least give him the choice. Alex your face expression in that last dramatic scene 😆 I felt so ambivalent both trying hard not to laugh and failed while still being shoked/feeling the drama 🤣
