I found this show through these reactions and i'm so happy I did! i've also been watching a couple of interviews with the cast and their accents make this show so much more impressive. Sam Reid (Lestat) is Australian and Jacob Anderson (Louis) and Assad Zaman (Armand) are both English (Assad is a Newcastle boy). To be able to act like this while doing such good accents is incredibly impressive

2024-07-28 07:03:01 +0000 UTCjust to clear up any confusion for you guys, lestat came from magnus and armand came from marius - it is mentioned here that magnus was one of armands ‘deserters’ from the coven and if im not mistaken i think magnus and armand are around the same age (armand maybe being slightly older), this makes armand far older than lestat but you will learn more about armands history in the next episode!

I read all these Anne Rice Vampire books when they first came out (yes, I'm old) and I can't adequately convey just how popular and important they were, especially to the queer community.( Like Alex mentioned, there's a LOT of lore in this universe.) What I remember getting out of it was that Queer comes in a multitude of flavors, which was revelatory at the time.
