Summer Festival in Tokyo

There were so many lanterns everywhere lighting everything up softly, and performances and o-bon style dancing too! As well as so many food stalls and lots of beautiful displays. They also had Mikoshi (mobile shrines) being carried by large groups of people as traditional music was played. As well as performances of song and dance. The thing I love most about Japanese culture is how they cherish the seasons and each season has so many events, foods, and natural beauty that come with it. Summer here is hot and humid, but nights like this as so beautiful and moving, and something you can only experience in summer in Japanπ
