In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the character of Groot is depicted as a teenage version of himself, marking a shift from his previous forms. He has grown considerably since the first film, where he was a fully grown adult Groot, and even more so since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, where he was a baby (Baby Groot).
