“Do you want to see my cat? You get your mate’s number and you ask her if she wants to see your cat? Oh Goddess, you are helpless.” Oihana, his twin, laughs until there’s tears running down her cheeks. She’s even rolling on the sofa at their mom’s house.

They meet once a week to have dinner together and they are waiting for the rest of their siblings to arrive, and stupid of him, he decided to tell his twin about the new developments in your blooming relationship. Like how you got his phone and you texted a bit yesterday, but his sister is not very appreciative of said advances.

“Stop being a pain in my ass, Oihana. I don’t even know why I told you!” He grunts, feeling sorry for himself. He sent you the message yesterday and you haven’t answered yet. It’s been hours and you haven’t said anything, and he’s low-key spiraling.

But then his phone vibrates, and his heart skips a beat when your name flashes on the screen. “She texted!” He tries to sound normal, but it comes out high pitched and almost panicked.

Oihana chuckles and asks: “What did she say?”

“She says yes, I’d love to see your cat,” he repeats the words in his screen. His heart is beating so fast and hard it’s almost like it’s trying to escape his chest and get to you through the screen. Fuck, he’s so whipped.

“Congratulations, little bro, you did something well,” Oihana says with a slow clap, her amusement clear.

He looks up at her, incredibly annoyed by his sister. “Stop calling me little bro, you were born only three minutes earlier than me.” They had that conversation a thousand of times, and Oihana kept playing the big sister game, which only annoyed him more.

“So you are the little one, aren’t you?” She deadpans, lurching forward and grabbing his phone out of his big hands. He hasn’t answered you yet, and the moment Oihana gets her hands on the phone she’s out of the sofa and running around the table.

“Give me that!” He runs after her, trying to catch her but not being fast enough. He might be strong, but Oihana is a pro athlete, she can outrun him anytime. Fuck. So he tries the serious tone: “Oihana Stormblood, give me my phone back.” But she doesn’t. She’s giggling as she runs with his phone, typing frantically.

His heart is beating fast, but this time for very different reasons. He doesn’t want to imagine what stupidity she’s writing on his phone, probably in your chat. Fuck. His sister is annoying as fuck, and she’s probably telling you embarrassing stories like how he climbed a light-pole and got stuck and they had to call the firefighters to get you down. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

And then to make everything worse, a voice sounds behind him. “What’s happening here? Why are you two running in my living room?” Fuck, his mom.

He turns around mid panic, looking frantically between his mom and his twin. And then does the most immature thing ever and points at her: “Oihana took my phone.” He’s breathing hard and his mom definitely bites her lip not to laugh at the situation.

She sighs deeply. “Darling, give your brother his phone back. You aren’t kids anymore.” The reminder only makes him feel bad, looking at the floor as Orihana approaches him.

“Snitch,” she whispers when she passes the phone back to him.

He huffs, about to answer her, but when he looks at the screen and sees the message she sent to you. “You didn’t!” He growls, looking at her with fury in his eyes. She laughs loudly again, and their mom stares at them with a frown that can only be described as mom-like. “Oihana is not funny! How could you say that to my mate?!” He tries to not sound exasperated nor furious, but it doesn’t translate.
