The not needing to commute and whatnot is also a huuuuuge perk 😅

2023-07-12 23:29:45 +0000 UTCI had a similar experience with singing. I had stopped studying with my original teacher when he moved away because I was concerned zoom lessons would be ineffectual. Then I had two years of hopping between teachers and not finding anyone I clicked with. But during the pandemic when zoom was the only option, I started taking zoom lessons with my original teacher again. And it made me realize that I should’ve transitioning directly into virtual lessons with him when he left. The zoom aspect didn’t matter nearly as much as the teacher.

2023-07-12 23:27:13 +0000 UTCI was able to find a queer therapist who I click with so well. That he is gay makes a HUGE difference. He understands the queer community and the dynamics of it without me having to explain it to him. I had 4 therapists before him. And he is the only one I have ever actually made substantial, lasting progress with. The zoom part matters less than finding someone you click with and who gets you.

2023-07-12 23:21:46 +0000 UTCI was hesitant about zoom therapy too, but because I was searching for a therapist early in 2021, it had to be on zoom. But it meant I actually had way more options to choose from because I wasn’t geographically limited.

2023-07-12 23:14:26 +0000 UTCNot sure if it helps, and I'm nowhere near a relationship or friendship expert, but I've seen people do a partners page on Bumble to where that doesn't happen. I'm sure it depends on what works best for you guys though, but you always seem very cool to me. I'd love to be your friend, just wish we weren't 2 time zones away lol. I hope the therapy goes well! 💗😎
