Hi supporters :3!

Now that the development of BARQ! is ramping up in speed again, more and more cool updates will be shipped to all of the users. Because you all provide amazing support and make this all possible, you get early access to most of the cool features. We've improved how this process works and this post will give some explanation!

Testing, how and where?

We will have 2 ways of testing new features: Feature Flags and pre-release builds. The pre-release builds are the easiest to explain. It basically means that when we create a new version (for example BARQ! 2.8), that version will first be sent to the supporters for installation; and then to the rest of the community at a later point.

The other is called "Feature Flagging". It basically means that some functionality will be locked behind a toggle that we can remotely turn on and off. This allows us to release the same app version to all our users while still making some functionality only available to testers and supporters; while at the same time releasing bug fixes to everyone :)
