What if Carti dropped in 2025 but it’s just a spiritualized covers album?

Let's Agree Anthony should do more YouTube streams

Chris Castillo

Mac Dre deserves more love outside of California. Dude made some of the weirdest yet catchiest and personality filled rap albums of the 2000’s. He was also quite prolific at his peak and could’ve done more cool shit had he not died so young. Also, Feelin’ Myself goes crazy. All time banger.

BiLl CiPhEr

The only reason people shit on yoko ono is for her contributions to the live performance John had with chuck berry

Zach S

“Send me on my way” by rusted root is such a damn good song.

Zach S

There’s so much fucking new music out there, especially this year for some reason. And while that’s cool in theory, it feels like artists are trying to release their album before the year ends like the world’s ending in 2025 or something

Let's Agree: The version of "girl, so confusing" with Lorde is NOT better than the original album track. The original, which has Charli pulsating with anxiety over WHAT the other girl thinks, is what makes the original composition so compelling and interesting in the first place. Adding Lorde to the song COMPLETELY deflates this dynamic. It's addition by subtraction. Lorde's verse is also a little too on the nose imo.

Machine Gun Philly

Faith No More - Angel Dust. The LP removes two key tracks and makes Smaller and Smaller the closer! Drive Like Jehu - Yank Crime. Messes up the flowing by removing 3/9 tracks and having them as a 7-inch instead.

people should take into consideration that veganism is better than eating meat. I feel once they realize it's all about the texture and seasoning people may start gravitating more towards veganism especially with that psycho RFK JR on public health duty

Caspa

We have progressed past the need for Travis Scott features. He never adds anything to the song nor is his sound as much of a hot trend as it used to be

Drake Parker

You should consider doing a Best Albums of the Decade So Far Video so we can see what’s currently poised to hit the top half of your Top 200 favourite albums of the 2020s video five years from now and see how much has changed since then.

Music is very good

Venture

just out of curiosity, is there a reason you don't talk about fallen legends in the music industry during list week of that year?

Waffles!

No Malice changing his name to Malice and then back to Malice is one of the funniest things of all time

Alex Sim

If we were to rate all music from the past until now (i.e., the first time a man hit two sticks on a rock in a rhythmic way to the woman who just uploaded an ukulele cover of "Pompeii" on YouTube a few minutes ago), the average score would be 6.2/10.

Don’t wanna throw a cold take in here. Just want to say RIP to the great Kaseem Ryan a.K.a KA. He was an incredible lyricist and deserves all the praise and respect in the world

Kyle Cahill

French Montana Releasing multiple versions of his Mac & Cheese 5 mixtape should be an example of what not to do when promoting a new project, and just focus on releasing the project as one version only

MaXXXimof _

Gordon Lightfoot is a gorgeous man and the album art for Summer Side of Life does him so dirty.

crimkingson

Alternate versions of albums that cut the runtime to account for different formats are stupid and should go away. Examples: Swans - The Beggar C418 - Minecraft volume Alpha & Beta

BEN NEB

I think more people should listen to more Club music outside of the club, it makes me happy :)

djdivile

The real current big 3 in hip hop (in terms of rapping ability, artistic merit & discography) are Kendrick, Tyler & JPEGMAFIA

Giancarla Rosales

Austen's the coolest!

Waffles!

just one beef?

Waffles!

I've never gotten to go to one :/

Waffles!

Anthony has heard at least two songs in his lifetime, potentially even three... dare I say four!

Momordica charantia ewww

Donuts yummy

Cucumber is not good

Drake's a bad guy and it was fun to see him lose a rap beef.

Let's agree: Tyler The Creator is better now than Kanye's been since Ye's first two albums. And it's really not that close.

Machine Gun Philly

Let’s Agree: Frank Zappa’s Apostrophé is one of the top five rock albums of the 70’s Short, to the point, and conceptually cohesive. Probably his best album besides Hot Rats. “Cosmik Debris” is an ALL-TIMER.

Machine Gun Philly

Talking Heads may have the highest amount of concentrated talent ever seen in a rock band. David Byrne is an exciting, unique front-man with some of the best lyrics, delivery, and musical ideas of his era. Jerry Harrison is an extremely underrated figure, doing phenomenal synthesizer work, putting together the 'Stop Making Sense' touring band, and being in charge of many other production jobs and side projects worth checking out. Tina Weymouth made a well deserved name for herself with her incredible bass work and being the most discussed and appreciated female instrumentalists in music. Chris Frantz is a very nice, fun and likable performer and his energy is infectious. And on top of ALL OF THAT, they are one of the very, very few bands that never released a bad album! [Though admittedly True Stories comes close]

Herbieguy98

This election year was fucking atrocious

Benjamin Lisboa

LET’S AGREE: this was a much better year for music than 2023.

CrypticTriscuit

LET'S AGREE with Swans: public castration is a good idea

If more people saw playlist swapping as a gift, then I think people would be more likely to be open to sharing and listening to new music as they get older. I have some friends who aren't very open to unfamiliar or new music, focusing solely on whatever is most nostalgic for them. I've met other people who seem to feel a little more protective of their musical tastes, gatekeeping artists and only being willing to share music if they have control of the AUX cord. Other friends I have, though, are so open to new music that we all celebrate the holiday season with something called Mixmas; it's like Secret Santa, but focused on swapping playlists. (I randomly assign people to each other after they fill out a Google Form with questions asking what kind of artists and genres they prefer or don't prefer.) My friends look forward to Mixmas every year because it's such a special gift to learn about, listen to, and connect over music. I wish Mixmas was a thing for more people!

Every band/artist should start selling deodorant at their merch tables, because JESUS CHRIST the amount of people who reek at the venue is atrocious

Oscar Barroso

Between the rise in popularity of Chappell Roan and albums like Brat and Imaginal Disk, this has been one of the best years for pop music in a while.

Gone

Let's agree: Anyone can listen to any music they like

zedster!

Yes! It was so fun.

Michelle Goldchain

what’s your favorite album that you reviewed from direct submission via your website

snow aster

So true!

Michelle Goldchain

By biggest disagreement with you - which proves we actually agree most of the time - is that you didn’t give Igor a 10. It’s a perfectly executed, conceptually complete, catchy yet deep, fearless but smart record with unlimited replay value: I think maybe you didn’t give it a perfect score because you don’t want to be loose with your 10 ratings… But man: this baby is a perfect 10.

Machine Gun Philly

You should tour more. Your live show from 2018 was lots of fun. It would be a good time if you did more live dates.

Trevor Young

The Lemon Twigs deserve more recognition, as i’m writing this they only have 190k monthly listeners on Spotify. I’m not really sure if it’s a gatekeeping issue, maybe it is but idk. It could also be a marketing issue as well, maybe it isn’t but I just don’t know. All I know is that they 100% deserve more recognition for what they are doing, it’s not groundbreaking but there’s really not one band that’s active right now that i’ve heard that has the appreciation for 60s era music along with formulating their own sound like they do. Plus also it’s pop music for the most part a lot of people eat that up so i don't get it.

vvo

Capybaras are cute

Htkkk

It’s been nearly a year since melon tell us he’s working on a Pink Floyd worst to best

Htkkk

2024 was the best year for popular music in a long time.

Chandler Martin

LETS AGREE: Fantano gotta say something about his dud of a Halsey review

Kevin C.

Tom Waits is one of the greatest, most clever songwriters of the past half-century.

EasyBakeCoven

Let's agree: Things. Are NOT GOOD. CRY.
