Major Life Update and Changes to Campaign (please read)

As y'all know, ive been very, very burned out these last few months. Commissions have been a challenge to complete, and it's made working on Krypttids difficult as well. Combined with this, my needs have changed as I'm currently working on immigration, handling getting rid of my old american apartment and more, and the financial needs of these things has been high.

Things came to a head recently and i had to admit to myself that things weren't working as they were now. it was unsustainable. And around this same time, I saw an opportunity to apply for a gamedev job that would use some of my existing skills (IE; Pixel animation), as a full time position. I applied, and as of today I can now say that I am going to be an FX Animator on a new game being worked on by the studio "Poppy Works".

This is a big deal for me. Between the consistent pay, and working in a different medium than what i do with krypttids and such, i think this will let me both get the income i need right now, as well as help me reform my work/life balance so art can become my passion again.

what this means for y'all is 2 things:

For supporters: by the end of the month I'll be restructuring my patreon and other crowdsourcing websites so it will essentially be a tip jar. I'm still very much intending to continue working on Krypttids, so any and all support is still wanted and appreciated, but certain rewards like monthly prompts and polls for content other than the comic will have to be cut. I'll let you know when the changes are in place, but itll happen before the end of the month for sure. You're all obviously welcome to adjust your pledges as you see fit.

For clients: Your commissions, both in progress and scheduled for later months, are not being abandoned or cancelled. I do want to be transparent that this will mean I will need to go much slower at completing them however. I will be attempting to provide regular updates still, but my turnaround time is probably gonna go from a few weeks to a few months. I'm also closing comms for any -new- commissions, so aside from this initial shift in priority , you dont have to worry about new comms coming in and further pushing yours back. This first month on the job is going to need my full concentration as i get used to my new schedule and responsibilities, so I'm going to need to put off ALL my commissions and Krypttids content until April. Please be patient with me, as not only will this help me settle into my new job, but I also believe come april i will come back to comms and Krypttids with more energy, and will be able to put out better work than what i would make if i tried to force it through right now. I'll also be contacting all my clients 1 on 1 to discuss these details and scheduling.

But to cap things off, i want to stress that while this is a very big change, and i have mixed emotions since i really tried to make freelance work for the past 10 years, I think this is a positive thing for me and I'm hoping and praying it will let me come back to my work with fresh eyes and reignited vigor.
