2025 Description Update Alpha 3 Released!

Hello everyone,

After an unfortunate amount of delay, Alpha 3 of the 2025 Description Update is here!

To be clear I was not working on this much during the months the Patreon was paused (hence the pause), but it fulfills the primary goals stated for this update, along with some extra stuff.

This is an Alpha release that has not been play tested much and will almost certainly have bugs, typos, and extra-bad formatting. The next release, Beta 1, will be focused on finding and fixing those things along with further tweaking the sleep screen.

At this time Alpha 3 is available in the same Google Drive that the prior alphas have been put into, which everybody who has supported in that timeframe should have access to. As always, send me a DM on Patreon if you processed an Early Access tier pledge and do not have a link.

2025 Description Update Alpha 3 Notes:

- New Activity: Leg Raises. Whenever the pull up bar is used, it will alternate between pull ups and leg raises.

- This includes 8 descriptions for the girlfriend based on flexibility

- 7 GF descriptions based on muscle

- Along with another 9 GF descriptions based on muscle.

- The player has 8 descriptions for flexibility and a set of 9 based on muscle.

- Added the following number of descriptions of the girlfriend changing into work clothes based on muscle level for the following jobs:

- Data Entry: 13

- Construction: 9

- Food Server: 8

- Researcher: 8

- Test subject: 1

- Yoga Instructor: 6

- Muscle Streamer: 31

- Game Streamer: 22

- Implemented these for selecting both work together, girlfriend working solo, and when the girlfriend has job automation trigger while the player doesn't upon waking up

- Tom's Gym (the gym location) now offers higher priced day passes that allow access to punching bags, jump ropes, pull up bars, and yoga classes (which now require the higher priced pass). [design idea is to simultaneously allow earlier access to those activities while making the gym location a little better]

- These activities should still show most of their regular full description while performed at the gym.

- Lifting weights at Tom's Gym now displays the full regular description of lifting them at home.

- Using the treadmill at Tom's Gym now displays the full regular description.

- Taking a yoga class at Tom's Gym now displays the full regular description.

- Implemented new descriptions detailing various outfits for the girlfriend while walking outside together at different muscle levels.

- Implemented these for when girlfriend is walking alone

- Implemented new descriptions detailing various outfits for the girlfriend while jogging/running/sprinting outside together at different muscle levels. [Different from the walking descriptions, these feature more athletic wear whereas the walking descriptions have more casual outfits.]

- Implemented these for when girlfriend is running/jogging/sprinting alone

- Revamped Treadmill activity:

- New muscle descriptions for both characters

- New endurance descriptions for both characters

- Added a calculation that determines top speed (determined by muscle) and distance effectively traveled for each character (multiplied by endurance)

- Implemented revamped treadmill activity for solo characters

- Added the following poses to yoga activity: Child's Pose, Warrior Pose, Tree Pose, Bridge Pose, Camel Pose, Wheel Pose, Eight-Angle pose.

- Each new pose has flexibility and muscle descriptions for both the girlfriend and the player

- Yoga activity now explicitly has a holographic instructor who is better described and contrasted with the girlfriend if she's present.

- Added a description of the holographic instructor demonstrating each position (11 total).

- Yoga activity revamped so now there are 3 randomly selected poses each time: one beginner, one intermediate, one advanced.

- Implemented new yoga instruction for characters acting separately.

AI Usage Disclose:

AI was used for the following,

- Created the formula + code for determining the speed and distance on the treadmill. Also asked other questions regarding Twine coding.

- Consulted with AI about yoga positions and how much strength / flexibility they might require in a game like this based on its stat scaling, along with ideas for yoga positions to include.

- Asked AI for outfit ideas and for ideas regarding new ways to describe certain things to avoid repetition or increase accuracy. Only a few sets of descriptions use any of these ideas and they were fully rewritten by me.

Planning on having Beta 1 released before the end of the month. Ideally moving onto the now titled 2026 Personality Update Alpha 1 for December's release, which will be available to everyone who processes an Early Access pledge in December.

Very mixed thoughts! They can be useful tools, but I'm actually not a personal fan of their writing most of the time, especially regarding muscle growth stuff. Generally prefer human art, but AI does allow things to be made far faster and more cheaply, and in some cases it can give the 'director' more precise control over the output than commissions (though not always). That said I find that even in the stories/games with zero AI content in them I end up chatting with an AI about how realistic/possible certain things are

Honestly would encourage using AI in Twine coding, its pretty good at simple functions like that.
