Thank you, my friend, for taking the trouble to find these words. I can absolutely understand what you wrote, and there will probably be quite a few people who think and feel at least a little bit similarly. Including me, by the way. It took me quite a while to make peace with AI, or rather to use “the tool” that I see AI as in a way that serves my purpose. At the moment I'm quite happy with continuing to create my images in a conservative way and then setting up an animation that fundamentally retains the character of the image. Of course, and here I agree, it feels somehow "weird". This may be partly due to the fact that AI still has clear deficits in some areas (even if the development progress has been considerable recently and will be even more so in the future). Or, and I think this is more likely, that the images used as a basis are just seeds for what happens next. An idea from art history that is interesting to me is that “letting things happen” has become an accepted stylistic device, and not just in painting. There are many exciting examples of this: the uncontrolled flow of paint, the intentional corrosion of processed materials over time, happenings that follow an initial impulse from the artist and develop freely. In a way, I see parallels to the use of AI, and perhaps we all feel exactly the same thing at this time as people felt back then after the invention of the camera, at least limited to the field of art and art history. Ultimately, I know this just as little as anyone else. My current approach here is to go with the flow and make sure to stay on top, play with the options available and see what happens. I think it's an exciting journey. And by the way, an artist's path doesn't always run linearly with the mainstream... so I wouldn't want to rule out the possibility that conservative animation media will be used again at some point. Thank you again for the feedback and your great support.

First of all, thank you for all your work. Your work is remarkable. Nevertheless i feel urged to, even if pointless, voice my critique. Having watched the past months developments, it is obvious that the AI project have become a more substantional stay, despite the earlier talks of just experiments. I have watched each piece of art with new hope, yet always found myself comparing to the older pieces and it just feels...off. Now the AI gets certain things very good, facial features for example but its always painfully obvious its AI, atleast in the video format. I dont know how you produce these pieces so i dont know how much work in a fully handcrafted is and how much you can manually correct the AI. I know you sometimes voiced that it was straining to produce them and you still havent offered a tier for videos, given the amount of work to produce them. Absolutly understandable and fine with it. I dont mind the occasional dabble into AI, to see how it is, #C61 comes over alot smoother than #C63, especially the faces are preem. But alas, i always am reminded of the AI in it, and aside such strongsuits, AI really shows, camera handling, flow of movement and morphing of features. Heck to some degree, it was an older piece, the expressions get unsettling many. I think AI would work leagues better with still pictures, even more if they can be hand corrected. Then again only my subjective stance, but i can see the diffrence in style and im used to your by now (months) older style. I just had to get it of my heart. I dont plan on doing anything, i think its stupid to threathen stuff like "i WiLl sToP pAyIng!", i will be happy with the stills i suppose and since aside the earlies points, no critique was voiced, i think many seem fine with it. So enough of rambling around, i hope you have a splendid time nevertheless!
