I feel like snakes, even incredibly intelligent ones, would probably have a different concept of a 'pet' compared to our own understanding. I expect it would look a lot like this should a thick danger-noodle take to keeping a human of its own. The serpent gets its much desired warmth, but that doesn't mean that they both can't have fun some of the time; a bit like #8.
