After two months of non-stop work, I’m thrilled to announce the release of GarryReal V1.27. This update brings a complete overhaul of the scripting architecture, with three distinct script sets for VR, HDR and standard gameplay. These have been designed to eliminate mode-specific conflicts and restore features that previously failed in certain modes. For example, some features from GarryFx which can be found in Pure’s spice tab which doesnt work in VR now work flawlessly thanks to dedicated tonemapping scripts for each mode.
Several improvements and fixes have been made to the gamma and LCS versions and some notable ones would be:
A brand new tonemapping pass, which is controllable via the Blue Shift slider in the Tone-mapping tab of Pure PP. This new pass completely changes how GarryReal looks in both the LCS and gamma versions.
Rewrote parts of the fog calculations and decided to use Pure's base fog values as a dynamic base which means fog should correctly adapt to all maps.
Added separate Day and Night presets and sliders for tone-mapping and glare, along with an adjustable Auto-Exposure Target in the LCS script.
Partially rewrote the CBE logic within the LCS scripts exposure handling.
A fix for the purple hue that plagued older LCS versions of GarryReal. You can now fine-tune any remaining tint via the Purple Hue Offset slider in the Tone-mapping tab. (LCS ONLY).
A new tab called Developer which has advanced controls over fog and day lighting presets, as well as colour grading, I showcased and explained parts of this in the preview video above.
A new feature called Ambient Sun Colour Factor which shifts ambient lights hue and level when camera is facing the sun. This works better in LCS but is at 0 by default in both scripts for now.
Completely revamped the UI to take full advantage of Pure’s latest UI features.
There has also been several smaller bugfixes which fixed things like the Tunnel blowout slider and snow breaking the fog calculation as snow wasn't registering as rain which aren't worth noting.
