It turned out I needed to move to the city, where Iβm right now, and seeing different people, younger persons, a bit of Christmas lights. You know, just... life. Iβm now scared to come back home and feel so bad again. I really hope youβre fine and happy. Well, at least I hope you smile when you see a sunny day. Thatβs important. Really, really important.
I used this birthday gift as a little personal message, sorry - I hope this Aziraphale will make you feel a little better, if you need it. Heβs just smiling at you and saying, βeverythingβs alright. Youβre loved. You deserve to be happy. Itβs okay, even if itβs notβ.

2020-12-11 23:51:18 +0000 UTCI am so sorry, Alice. Everything is coming together now-- the Covid, the darkness, the holidays that are not what we want them to be. But we have hope with the vaccines that the holidays will be more normal next time, so the sun will come back, as it does in the spring, if we wait a little longer. Try to get outside and walk in natural places if you can-- looking at trees and natural parks makes people feel better. Talk to friends. Make beautiful art. Write silly stories, even if you don't show them to anyone. Read and watch things that make you smile. Use lights when it's dark in the morning and evening-- just the short days can make you depressed. I cannot be there but I send you a hug.
