violeta - process

i've been asked how my overpainting works, so let me explain a bit

after base shading is done, i lower the lineart opacity and merge all of them together (excluding backgrund) so i can begin overpainting

then, i go over the entire drawing, fixing and adding shading, details and all of that as i go. every time i change to a new zone (like. from head to chest) i duplicate the overpaint and continue the process in the newlayer.

i do that so the process posts can be more easily analized, you can do all the overpaint in one layer if you wish!

i hope this helps! if you have any question feel free to ask me!

i use clip studio paint and watercolour brushes for overpaint and lineart, hard brushes for base shading.

ahh thank you! i don't ;; i sometimes use tone curves to make some colours pop, but thats about it. i use colder colours for sure, though!
