Wander the streets of Paris: Eiffel Tower, Galeries Lafayette, The Louvre - With Local Guide Rachel

Update 2:

I messed up, sorry everyone. Another member pointed out that I over did the sharpening and it was causing discomfort when viewing. And when I say overdid, I mean it was so sharp you could cut a steak with it 😅

I was planning on releasing the rest of Paris on Sunday, but instead I spent Sunday redoing the sharpening aspect of the color grade for the entire experience. I just could not bring myself to releasing the rest of it in that state. It is already looking significantly more natural and has a lot more color so I think you all will be happy with the improved color grade.

Part 1 (re-release) , part 2, and part 3 will all now release Wednesday night.

Update:

Part 1 is now on shared drive in “France” folder. I went to sleep instead of uploading late last night. I usually choose less sleep in order to work more, but I think I need to start prioritizing sleep more. Hope everyone understands. Trying to get the rest done by this weekend. Zion a couple weeks after that for January release. Filming for “Ice climbing: Michigan Ice Fest” begins next month. Then it’s Cancun, Mexico College Spring Break experience 2025 in March. Already planning for this, and it’s looking like it will be even wilder than what I’ve done in the past haha.

Main:

Part 1 will be uploaded by tonight (in 12 hours) Having trouble with inspiration for the voice over actually, worked through the night and I am just writer blocked lol. I will post an update to this post when it is available for download. Part 2 and 3 most likely Saturday.

It’s winter here and it feels like I have the heater on full blast in my house from all the pcs going at 100% cpu/gpu XD

Comments

Hmm you are right it does look oversharpened. I’m gonna go ahead and color grade part 1 again without the Ai sharpening, will take a few days, curious to see the results myself. Part 2 should be up by late tonight I’m targeting. Part 3/4 tomorrow.

First of all, I’ve been really enjoying the Paris video so far. The local guide is delightful, and I love the occasional voice-over—it adds a nice touch! That said, I’m not a fan of the AI sharpening used in the last few videos. In my opinion, the videos look over-sharpened, which makes them feel less natural. In some scenes, the edges of objects also have a strange white glow caused by the AI sharpening. For example, in the Paris/Eiffel video (part 1) at the 11:30 timestamp, you can see this white glow around the railing, bicycles, and the local guide. I know you’re always striving for the highest possible quality, and I really respect that. I hope this feedback is helpful, even though I don’t expect you to change your workflow just because of me. But maybe others feel the same way, and this could be useful for you :)
