Trip report: Multi-pitch rock climbing and Vegas

So many beautiful sights in Las Vegas and Arizona!  I am very excited to start working on the audio/ color grading/ editing of the latest Slice of Life VR episodes.

The famous “Narrows” hike in Zion was closed due to to high of a river flow, so I ended up filming in Las Vegas and Mt Lemmon Arizona for this trip. Las Vegas will have two episodes, one where I take you on a walking tour of the beautiful Las Vegas Strip (and walk into some casinos including the “Bellagio”) and another set in downtown Las Vegas “Fremont Street” (This one might not be for the kids with the amount of clothes on some of these women lol)

Mt Lemmon (Santa Catalina Mountains) in Tuscon Arizona was one of the most grueling videos I have ever filmed. Don’t get me wrong it was a blast, but it was very physically intense to carry all the equipment, hike, film and climb over the course of a 12 hour day in the intense summer heat of the Sonoran dessert. (4am start to 4pm finish)

The Mt Lemmon episode will show the 1.5 hour hike through a cacti forest to the base of a 1000 foot multipitch rock climb. From there I was able to capture some climbing and views as I climb to the top. The episode will finish with some stunning footage of the exotic plants and views at the top of this rarely seen by humans summit.

The plan is to have the “Las Vegas Strip” episode ready for the scheduled June 16/17 release, and the other episodes as soon as possible. (Will aim for two new episode releases for July)

None of this would be possible without your patreon support. So thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart. I have found my passion in life, and I am looking forward to continuing to dedicate my all to bring the world the best in immersive 8k 3D 60fps VR180 Travel Experiences.

For the first time in my life, I feel I can actually make a difference in the world. To help brighten someone’s day if they’re feeling down, to help those struggling with finances/mobility issues that prevent them from seeing these places, and to help bring us all a little closer to this beautiful planet we call home.

Comments

It’s called “10bit Sonoran Desert Cacti Forest Final V3” You are right, some of the titles are a little difficult to figure out. I will work on renaming and organizing the videos to make it more clear and descriptive. Please give me 1/2 weeeks to work on a new better naming system. Thank you for your feedback, always looking to improve :)

What is the rock climbing video called so I can download it off the google shared drive. Perhaps put a link in the comments or edit the post with the link? It's easier to search descriptions here on Patreon.
