2025-06-03 21:52:16 +0000 UTCIn the beginning the line you're referring to about 'observing surroundings', Pandora said it to Fortuna, most likely because Fortuna didn't notice Emilia near the seal whilst going on a rampage attacking without thought, and Pandora needed Emilia alive for obvious reasons. A very important thing to note in this episode is some weird wording about Roswaal and the Oni village. He did not destroy it, he knew that it was going to be attacked by the cult through the Tome of Wisdom, but he did nothing to prevent it, because the book said that he would acquire a great asset (Ram) for his goal if he didn't stop it. Puck and Roswaal fighting before is either referring to the Memory Snow episode or to the fight that happened when he came to Elior Forest for Emilia, he had a fight with Puck there. I forgot which one it is. You guys really should read the book explanation that I gave previously, it would help clarify and properly understand things, this is not spoiler info, it was supposed to be known by this point, otherwise the poor omelet keeps getting overcooked.

2025-06-03 14:56:57 +0000 UTCAfaik the "devil" thing is just an unfortunate translation, intending to mean a male equivalent to a witch. An interesting real world fact is that there used to be more deadly sins before the 7 deadly sins, but melancholy was later folded into sloth and vainglory/vanity was folded into pride, iirc. Also, the Puck fighting Roswaal thing was partly shown in the first movie, although not altogether explained.

We don't know what he means but probably has something to do with the Tome of Wisdom. Translation was extra awful in this episode. He also tells Emilia "You [too] just continue to change." A missing word from the translation but it's an important insight into his thoughts. As he's stating how he can't accept how everyone around him keep changing in such a short time, because he believes no one can truly change. Subaru has already cornered Roswaal through himself changing, Garfiel changing, and Emilia changing without even realizing it. I'm also saying it again from last time, but there are no "devils" and that has nothing to do with Elsa's "angels." Elsa is just saying an expression, and Hector's title is the male version of a "witch". Should've been translated to warlock if anything.
