Date Ariane version 0.65 alpha now available

Here is the latest version of Date Ariane 2, been making a lot of new images and fixing bugs related to these scenes.

You can download it at https://arianeb.itch.io/date-ariane-2/patreon-access or download the game off itchio if you already downloaded it before. No "update patch" is available.

After a couple of months of slowdown, I was able to get a lot done. Internally, I finished doing images related to "frontyard" which includes all park pictures, including basketball and park photoshoot, and store related images including both the downtown and suburbs store.

I also did most of the exterior downtown images, driving images, and scene transition images.

At this point I'm mostly left with big blocks: vista, lakes, cabaret, dress shop, lingerie shop, night club, museum, coffee shop, and amusement park still to do.

Bug Fixing

No new game features, but I wrote new code to help me debug the game. I'm focusing on debugging the scenes that are newly illustrated (park photoshoots, basketball, and convenience store). I wrote new code to mark up the scenes that I am playing and testing, so as to check off whats been done and what I am missing.

It also helps me make sure all the variants of scenes can be reached.

Among the worst of the bugs was the misplacement of the parts of the screen you click to make a basket. DAR had optional squares to click on. I removed those, and haven't decided if I should bring them back, but at least now the click area is in the right place.
