Dating in a World on Fire 0.5 "Chapter 1"

 I've been using a tool called Milanote to help me plan and write the game, and thought you'd like the first page.

Just posted 0.5 or "Chapter 1" at https://arianeb.itch.io/dating-in-a-world-on-fire/patreon-access where you can download it. No upgrade, but luckily it's still small to download.

Added: Three new scenes that take place after the Holosuite scenes. One of which you might not be able to reach unless your stats are perfect. The other two are written to explain some backstory which I purposely left vague at the beginning.

First is a trip to an art studio where you and Relay take a lesson drawing each other. The player kind of sucks, Relay has some hidden talent. It explains a philosophy I made up called "New Humanism" which is based on my Creativity essays you can find here. 

Second is a visit to "River Walk", one of Haven's commercial and entertainment districts where you learn what Haven is. Just the basics though, the complexities I'm saving for later chapters.

Third is a trip back to Relay's place for a bit of private sexy fun. This is the one that requires a perfect score to reach. Requirements include demonstrating niceness, smarts, sense of humor, and an interest in Relay at a level between two or three, plus some kissing and body score. Body includes either seeing her naked or grabbing her ass while kissing.

Not being perfect is not a game ender, so if it's not an option after the holosuite, there will be more chances in the future.

The date ends with a bit of a surprise twist to end the chapter.

Also made some improvements to earlier sections of the game I'm trying to balance.

A slight bug comes from using old saves with a different word display, or pre- update saves. It will likely display wrong, putting some characters lines on the bottom with or without names, or displaying names of characters in comic mode.

The fix for both is easy, text display issues can be fixed in Preferences, the top right  allows you to re-choose visual novel text or comic text, and will fix all the text to that choice.

A previous bug I got fixed is "History", it now works regardless of if you use VN or Comic text. 

 Just posted a version 0.51 that adds this as the icon of the game instead of the standard Renpy icon. No other changes. If you already downloaded 0.50, you can wait for the next major update if you want.
