Date Ariane 1.5 beta patch
Added 2023-09-27 21:00:02 +0000 UTC
As promised, I finished a first draft of voicing the entirety of Date Ariane Remastered. You need version 1.2 (the current version on Steam and Itch.io) or 1.3 (the "patch" from last month). This patch includes last months patch, so you don't need to patch twice, if you didn't get it.
If you are new to Patreon patches, it involves downloading the zip file and extracting to where your DateArianeRemastered.exe file is located on PC. On Mac or Linux see the README file, and letting it overwrite files with the same name.
If you got the game on Steam, the exe is usually located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DateArianeRemaster This will vary based on where your steam library is located. Note: doing this will break steam achievements, I'm going to need to merge the two versions to prevent this, but that is an October project.
All is voiced or is it?
This patch should voice every line in the game. Unlike the voicing of Something's In The Air Redux which is more than twice as big line wise, I got every voice line I could find, except some of the sex scene lines where sex noises replace voice.
But here is where I need your help. Play this beta patch. If you find lines that end up with errors that it couldn't find a file, or if there is a major mismatch between what is said on the screen and what is voiced, tell me in the comments, or message me via patreon messages or on discord.
I managed to go through all the "help" paths looking for mistakes and found a few, but that is just 30 of the hundreds of possible paths. I am certain there are more mistakes. I'm spending most of October testing as much as possible so I can release officially 1.5 in late October or early November on all formats.

Comments
I've already made some changes but haven't put them in the patch yet. There's a lot of "you are" and "I am"'s in the text for historical reasons, but voice wise they sound bad, so except where appropriate I'm changing most of them to "You're" and "I'm". The ending of achievements was not voiced, I voiced it. The point in the game where Ariane asks "What should we do now?" was feeling very repetitive, so it rotates through 4 similar phrases that feel less repetitive. I'm looking for other repetitive lines to change now.
