Got my new monthly allowance of lines to voice, so that is what I have been doing this week.
My project is to finish voicing the Date Ariane Remastered game by the end of the month. This week's focus was on all the Rebecca scenes and what I internally call the "front yard" which includes the park and convenience store scenes.
One rule I made for this project is that voicing wouldn't change the game in any way. You should still be able to play the game with the voice turned off and still experience the game the same way.

What happens instead is that the voicing of the game reveals flaws in the game I missed before I voiced it. Mostly these are spelling and grammatical flaws in the text. I write using a lot fewer contractions (will not instead of won't) than I do in speaking, and this shows up as I voice lines because non-contracted lines don't sound right. I have added more contractions to the text as I voice it.
Voicing also affects the timing of scenes and in one case this week, I noticed the need for a missing picture of Rebecca and Ariane treading water in the pool before they start the "Marco Polo" game. The above picture is brand new to the game as a result. There is a second one where Rebecca is wearing a bikini top, and Ariane a bikini bottom which I rendered first.
Voicing also allows for some creative fun in the voice work that doesn't show in the game. For example, during the same "Marco Polo" game, I voiced Ariane saying "polo" and Rebecca saying "polo". All the voice work is in mono rather than stereo, but I created two stereo voices, one with Rebecca in the left channel and Ariane in the right, and another with the channels reversed for use during the scene where the player has to decide where to go.
The scene where Rebecca does her strip act is voiced to sound like she is speaking through a PA system, the scene where Ariane is contemplating a three way is done in a echo voice as if it s coming from her head. I decided against either affect during Ariane's strip routine.
Here's a few other png files from these newly voiced sections I did this week. Once I finish I'll release what I have so far here on Patreon.
