Plans for August

I have started working on AI voicing Date Ariane Remastered.  Like when I voiced SITAR, I am finding things that need changing. I seriously thought about restructuring the game, making it harder, but then decided, I'll save the game difficult tinkering for my next game which is similar to DAR with a different character and setting.

Instead what I am tinkering with is the line editing. Date Ariane started as a web game, and in that form I had to worry about how long the lines were to make sure the text fit in the frame of the web page. Obviously that is no longer a concern with Renpy games, so I am trying to edit lines to feel more conversational:

"You are my guest, I will let you decide.  So, what should we do now?" becomes "There are a number of things we can do tonight.  As my guest, I'll let you decide. What do you think we should do now?"  Longer and more natural sounding. I'm keeping this in mind as I go through the game while doing voice work.

Because I used up all my July AI voice allowance finishing up SITAR, I have so far only voiced the pre-dinner introduction sections. At some point for the next few months, I'll release updates to Date Ariane Remastered, however long it takes to voice the entire thing. It could be as soon as September as SITAR has twice the dialog as DAR does, and SITAR took four months, DAR might be done in two.  Most likely it will take 3 though.
