Pics 113: Test pics for a test game

Restarting my weekly pics feature. I may be changing the format from time to time starting with today's post.

For the past couple of years, the weekly pics came from pics I was making for remastered versions of older games. These were easy as poses were already set and sets were already built and lit.

For the first time since I started this in 2004, I am starting over completely from scratch. The good side is that it is liberating to not copy old material and be as creative as possible. The bad side is that making pictures takes longer.

Don't expect 5 to 10 pictures a week. Probably closer to 1 or 2 a week going forward, but hopefully they will be worth it.

Today's are a couple of screen shots of a mini game I hope to have done by the end of the month.

Making a full dating sim like Date Ariane Remastered, is going to take a long time, and I am not entirely certain I know how to do the things I want to do in it.

I am starting with a mini game that may or may not be expanded into the final game. It is a way for me to introduce the character, while also play with a new set, and learn how to light a scene in Daz, which is one of the reasons I stuck to Poser for so long. Lighting is difficult to get right and be consistent with in Daz Studio.

As you can see with the first picture, I'm experimenting with a new speech bubble feature recently introduced in Renpy. Second picture is my likely front cover of this mini game.
