Pics 108: AI versions of Rachel

After doing a few of these AI versions of Ariane, time to give a chance to Rachel. Not going to do different techniques, just jumping to controlnet this time.  This one is a little freaky because the AI version looks like someone I know.

While I created an AI diffusion model using 20 or so renders of Rachel, Stable diffusion isn't good making 3D models look human without some reference real people. I used three, going with supermodels instead of actresses.  You might be able to tell one of the supermodels I used in this picture.

The original 3D model came out in 2007 and was obviously a mix of Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johannsen, both of who were big at the time.  Using either of them in the AI made them too recognizable, so I went with other light skinned blue eyed celebrities.

Of course, I had to do a nude. In order to get the hair color right I had to describe the hair, and "strawberry blonde" or "dirty blonde" came up with weird color results with just plain "blonde" looking the best.

Rachel's face comes from a popular character model called DMR Ella, the popularity is why I made the model my "supermodel", and why most of the images at https://rachelvalena.tumblr.com were not made by me. The popularity has waned since it is a 15 year old model.

In this case, the AI does make the character look more human, because the smiles look more natural. I have seen the face at the top left used in a couple of AVN series: the base character was obviously popular with devs.
