As promised, here is the first demo of Hopepunk City.
The full game covers a time period of 3 to 4 months depending on the version of the story, the demo covers the first month.
The game has an odd structure, which I won't spoil here. The tone is a little darker than previous games, especially in this first month that establishes a dark backstory and sci-fi setting. You can thank the year 2020 with inspiring this dark tone.
My goal is to lighten the tone as the story progresses, assuming you make the right decisions, so expect a more balanced tone in the final game.
This is also the first game that gets political (again thank 2020), and while the politics are "leftist" in this first part, this is also something that will be more balanced in the final game.
There is no audio, achievements or icons yet, I usually save doing those things to the end.
I'm open to reviews and suggestions.

2021-04-09 23:46:14 +0000 UTCI wasn't planning on bringing the girl from the beginning back, but then I got some feedback to show more moments of life in the city to make the game more immersive. In future releases if you take the delivery job, you will meet the girl again, giving you a chance to compare notes. I hope we see the girl from the beginning again, she’s very cute and I’m wondering what happens with her. One visual suggestion is that the phone looks out of proportion in the man's hand. I thought it might be a miniature phone, but it looked to be in proportion in the woman's hand. Anyway, I’m very excited to see where the story goes!
