When you had said that you had a long anime after GX, I had hoped for Naruto but never thought you'd actually go through with it! It really is a great show (the dub is on par with the sub too, which is great). As for the filler, there is a lot, but they are usually grouped together in a bunch of one-offs or full-on mini-arcs. The reason there are so many fillers at the end of Naruto (around 80 episodes) is because Shippuden is essentially Part II of the story and they needed time for the Mangaka to get ahead of the anime. Some are just okay, but there are some genuinely good ones, especially if you want to see more moments for side-characters. (Naruto has a MASSIVE cast of characters.) Also just to clarify, the skills used in this series are called 'jutsu' (literally 'skill' in Japanese), with the 'magic' skills being 'ninjutsu'. Not all jutsu are ninjutsu though. Genuinely hope you enjoy this series. (Also might help to take notes for lore and stuff if you feel that's needed.)
