Progress Report

Howdy! Here’s what’s up:

This post is mainly to announce that I’ve started the deciding poll on Kira’s face, and that the faces are the same as in the survey, but I also wanted to show you the updated version of a certain lawyer. 

The survey has ended with 6% of you voting For Kira’s current face, I would prefer if this number was 0, but I think it’s as good as it gets. 

There were two more suggestions about making the shadows on her face even more prominent and to change the light on her lips to make it look like she’s pouting (similar to her current in-game art). 

I’ll play with shadows more once we’ll know what face is the winner, as I’ll still have to make it match her body, but I think they will naturally look darker with the shadows from the hair (we’ll see). 

As for the lips, they’re a separate thing, since Kira can enlarge them in game - I’ll make some versions of her with enlarged lips and then you’ll tell me whether or not you like them. 

That’s it about Kira, the poll is up right now, I’ll post more about her once it ends. 

Above is a comparison of Tolstoy's new faces with his old one. 

His artwork hasn't been touched since v0.1, so it’s severely behind, I did my best to adapt his more "cartoonish" look, but it’s a very different artstyle. I showed some versions of him in discord to gather feedback, and the ones above are what I came up with (thanks to all who told me what to fix). 

The face on the left is closer to his OG art, but I don’t think it has the same “vibe”. Every sentence Tolstoy says is some unhinged nonsense, so I feel like he has to be always smiling by default. Which is why I want his smiling face to be a “default” one, if no one objects.

I purposely avoided re-working him up until now, because he has a lot of versions and I knew it would take a considerable amount of time to make them all. But, I decided to bite the bullet and finally give our boy some attention. 

There’s still one version I have to make of him - “Hot” one from the party quest (how he perceives himself in his head), I also want to give him swollen eyes for a part when he wakes Kira up during the same quest. But, his upgrade is pretty much done, now I want to upgrade his better half. 

Once I’ll have both Tol and Lev, we’ll finally be able to add the second shower peeping event that ends badly for the boys. I wrote it a long time ago, but I needed updated boys to actually implement it. It’s mostly comedic, reveals Tolstoy's “tragic” backstory and shows you in what direction you can take Kira’s relationship with him.
