First, I'm a total fan. These videos have started me on a path to tinkerville. It's been great. One comment on the "Points" I was a maintenance electrician for 30 years and I know that if you file points to clean them they are burned up in a year or two. The best way I know is to use emery cloth to clean them, and then recoat with silver plating powder. Great video!

Harvest Gold, man, Harvest Freakin' Gold. Watching the silent one first, I didn't realize that the body was FRP. Crazy. Looks like Toro sells a "HoverPro" 55 years later and not just importing Flymos from the UK.

Haven't watched this one but watched the silent version. At first I thought "I remember those" ... but maybe I don't? Toro doesn't sell them, at least under the Flymo brand and who knew they were a UK thing? Brand is owned by Husqvarna now but Flymo was on it's own for a long time. 🌈⭐The More You Know ...🌈⭐

Awesome Job! Would love to see more gardening tools, since gardening kinda is my passion. For us here in good ol' Germany, a perfect lawn is very very essential when it comes to showing your neighbors what a good dad you are. You could have easily pushed the dad level to the max by wearing sandals instead of that sneaker. Yet leaving those white socks on. That's how we mow in Germany 🤣

What an unexpected and fun restoration piece! I remember seeing adverts for these in magazines during the 70s. Every generation has its experimental/fringe products. Like I had a Ryobi (I think that was the brand) rechargeable mower almost 30 years ago. It worked great if your lawn got mowed every 2-3 days ALWAYS, and could be done in under 12 minutes. Ha! I've had the Toro 2-cycle mower that replaced it running in perfect order for over 25 years, going strong. I'm waiting for the Roomba mower equivalent now....

So im just a welder. I end up working on cars and smaller motors and parts attached to them because they are made of metal and existence tends to break them, But Im not a mechanic in any shape fashion or form. But after watching you do this and things like it I feel like in a post apocalyptic world, I would be able to * maybe * make some kinda gas motor work again....
