Brandy new patreon here. Love the restorations. I’m an axe restorer.

its like flea market flip, for men!

I’m as happy as a pig in mud because my oldest son turned me on to your channel. I’m proud to be a patron and absolutely love your narrated restores. Our sense of humor runs in the same lines! Thank you for entertaining this 61 year old jerk of all trades, master of none, except bullshitting!

Thank you! I really appreciate it.

New patron here :D Been restoring stuff for a while myself and I figured it was about time to support someone I've been watching for info and inspiration for a while now~! Keep up the great work mate!

Ok...I am the 840th Patreon, Woohoo! And now i can hear what you had to say...hmmmm the "director-commentary" version :) ha!!!!

i once popped pop corn in the dryer. during a party at a friends place. he loved that one.... hahaha

Hand Tool Rescue

Thanks! I have over infinity rags.

Hand Tool Rescue

Only millions of things to go!

PLEASE X400 more of the bench top drill press as a hand wire wheeler. I LOVE having to change my underwear from laugh induced pissing of pants. You used 4,000 clamps once to hold something down and I love trying to guess what A-Hole troll(s) you are flipping off. This was great. Love your podcast with JD and Mr. Grumpy.

Glenn Severance

One of your most successful and useful builds I might say. Somebody send this man some more rags to wash!

dreamer

That was really great. I like to watch the HTR-Classic version first, then go back and watch the Narrated one.

Peter Laws

Awesome! Don't ever run out of things to rescue!!

Greg Steinmayer

Thanks! The history behind these machines is some of the most interesting of all the tools I have restored.

Hand Tool Rescue

They really do come in handy.

Hand Tool Rescue

Thanks!

I was actually looking at this: Everlast POWERMTS 221STI. Might as well get a welder that does everything, but I really don't know much about what to look for.

Hand Tool Rescue

Thank you.

Hand Tool Rescue

Exactly!

I need one of those hand-held drill presses.

From the Book of Brian, "Blessed are the Gasket-makers, for they shall prevent another flood..." Wonderful antique tool restoration. My grandmother in Iowa had one of these because their general store was a distributor or maybe order point. She would have been 24 years old, and I wonder if my grandfather bought her one. I have a difficult time imagining her kick-starting the engine... but hey, she was resourceful!

Excellent rebuild... It's probably better than original... WELL DONE!!! 10/10

I'll second your need for a decent TIG welder. AC tig is a must, its not worth getting unless its AC. The time you would invest into learning TIG is well worth it and after a bit you will forgo mig unless backed into a corner. Especially on finicky repairs like you encounter. The bare minimum AC tig that is out there is the AHP alpha tig. ~$800 and it runs well for what it is. Foot pedal was a bit cheap for my tastes but Im spoiled... Next in value and class was some of the Everlast units. $2000-$3000 but run as well as the Reds and Blues. I have used one to repair Thick aluminium castings (with a 50/50 Argon Helium gas blend) and the thing held up like a champ. I would suggest getting a water cooled torch only for size and comfort. You do Not need to get a fancy (and expensive) water cooler; a bucket, harbor FkUp fountain pump, and a few kludged fittings (left hand adapters and such) work just as well as the $3000 water coolers they try and sell you... Which ever one you get, go for the most amps you can. More amps = more better. Thanks to inverters you can end up around 250-300 amps with 220v single phase, which is way more than enough to tackle anything ive seen you run into.

Clifton Ballad

Well done, sir. Your efforts are very much appreciated!

Painting things white _is_ a genius idea when working with grease and such, because you can easily tell whether it's clean or going to get grease on your freshly-washed clothes.

By-the-way, my daddy was VERY proud of the aluminium Maytag used in their machines. His job was getting the tubs into the untis, according to what I remember. I bet he'd be proud of what you do. I know I am. Oh -yup, he worked for them almost 30 years; didn't want to leave, but they 'forced' him out with what was called a 'Golden Parachute' way back, I think. We all lived a good life. Thank you, Maytag. Gonna shut-up now.

... stroking that roller a bit too much there, son.

Hahaha

Hand Tool Rescue

Oh, forgot to mention how much I LOVE the channel - KILL THE SPIDERS! Sorry; got scared there for a second... close call.

NO! NOOOO!!!! You MUST use ONLY certified MAYTAG GREASE!!!! You MUST! ... hmm_ or a good quality multi-purpose. I'm just sayin'. ;-)
