Antique Seeder

Lots of iron! If you can help me identify some parts, that would be appreciated.

Nobody made the obvious grampa joke?

Oooooo!

I reckon the mystery part helps to gauge distance. The user might count the clicks given off as the arm hits each screw (or falls off each screw and hits the ID of the wheel) and the number of clicks corresponds to a measurement of distance. Just my thoughts after seeing it in action.

Thanks! I don't think so, it only hits the screws in the wheel.

This is such a cool tool. You seem to find a great variety of machines to work on. Keep it up. Is the part you can't identify a scraper to keep the wheel free of mud if it is wet when planting?

Louis Ross

Thanks! Probably before the end of the year.

The screws are the little dingusses that push the majiggy back an forward so it seedimicates.

As always, it's entertaining, informative and well composed. That's the good part; now, when's the screw driver vid? Curious (and impatient minds) are waiting, calmly, calmly.

Watch your fingers mate!! I wonder what the screws in the back wheel is for? It seems solid without them? And are the mix of square nuts and modern ones, just that someone fixed it before? As Always, great video! 🤘

Those chain saws are true multi-tools.

That shaky-cam effect is so 1990s!

Awesome! Maybe you can help identify some of the parts.

Can't wait to see this one. Have a small farm and have been looking for something like this or a wheel hoe. Glad to see some tool diversity :)
