Eighth week of the rework.

Greetings! Just a quick progress report, nothing major.

We’re still working on the existing events and even though I will upload v0.4.5 as soon as we’ll finish it, you should probably expect it at the end of the month. Among other things, we’ve changed how hypnosis works in the game.

There’s no teaser this time around, but there will be another one next week, I can’t say what exactly I will show, but at the moment I’m redoing prison and Chief Officers hypnosis.

As you might already know, in v0.4.5 “Lust” stat will control Kira’s dialogue in erotic events and her willingness to perform them, and “Intelligence” will control her overall speech and gullibility.

On top of that we have “hypnosis”, which previously had two levels. We’ve recorded those two levels and from now on they will be called “fetishes”. In v0.4.5 it will be possible for Kira to have “Exhibitionism”, “No underwear”, “Pet”, “Public use” and “Slut/Bimbo” fetishes. They are all in the game already, but moving forward we will utilize them a bit differently.

For instance, because “Prison” and “New You” are no longer linked, it will be possible for her to enter prison shower with “Public use (Benevolence training)” fetish, which will change the dialogue a bit, and will work as a separate entity from both her “Int” and “Lust” stats.

Hypnosis instantly unlocks fetishes, and eventually it it will be possible for her to acquire them “naturally”. We also want to show them to the player, as a game feature.

It’s coming to an end and shaping up to be a perfect framework for us to work in. I wanted to talk a bit about how we’re going to use it.

It will allow us to easily create exhibitionism and groping events, but this doesn’t mean that they will always have the same art. It will also serve as an undressing mini-event before some of the other sex scenes. With it we will no longer be forced to come up with ridiculous reasons for Kira to wear a specific outfit at a specific time.

Because we now know how drastically Kira’s body can change, Moana won’t need to recode it and break your savefiles in the future.

The sluttines of the outfit will determine how often random events can trigger and how people will react to Kira.

The game kind of works like a “spider's web”, most of the events are accessible in any order and they affect one another, even if it’s just a line of text. With the new fetish system and dialogues tied to stats (including fame), you will be able to see Kira’s current state of mind in any given situation. I think this way the game will feel more consistent, more entertaining and it will have more replay value. Not to mention that I won't have to rewrite older dialogues with every new major “mental (hypnosis, drugs, alcohol, etc.)” event, well, at least not as often as right now.

Just like Kira’s character art, they will have a “known” set of physical changes, which means that Moana won’t need to recode them with every new breast size,hairstyle, etc. They also utilize the new dialogue system, which means that I won’t have to rewrite them (again, not as often).

As a side effect of everything being layered, we will be able to “call” parts of the existing events when we want/need (Change background, change Kira’s partner, etc.). This will be often used in the future, in the romance system that we will eventually add in (we need more sex scenes for it) and in repeatable events.

With this rework it will be easier for us to add in new content. And I wanted to once again thank you for giving us the opportunity to work on it for as long as we did. After it will be out, we will try to include as many events as we can in v0.4.7. to showcase its features, and just because we really want to work on something fresh and new:)
