So, is this URYU’S VOLLSTÄNDIG in TYBW Episode 27?

I'm still working on the review for Episode 27, but in the meantime, I just had to get something out about Uryu's mysterious Quincy: Vollständig - it's a big deal!
Is this truly a holy form? How did he activate it? And what's going on with The Almighty? Let's take a look!

I love your take as always, it never fails to get me thinking more than a single watch through. My jumbled thoughts follow: I wonder if Uryu didnt use the antithesis but used the all mighty instead. Like you mentioned the positions didnt change exactly it seemed more like when Yhwach used the all mighty "bliping" between positions. It seems like they are trying to link Uryu to the power of the all mighty which if memory serves is power from reio, directly connecting him with the soul king. Uryu is a pure blood quincy after all. It would be a major change from the source material but between the sparking eyes, blut vein in his eyes and on the hand shaped like the soul kings right arm it seems like he is becoming something different that Uryu. The red eyes is what I'm caught up on, if the eyes are meant to reflect Yhwach could this be revealing Uryu is more connected with both the father and the son (reio and Yhwach) I'm getting reio vibes non the less which might be me wanting it to be true. I haven't read the manga (or light novels) through the "final" (side note kinda hoping the hell arch is the true final but we won't mention that too much) arc so this next part will be ill informed. I've always wondered why reio would side with his "son", if reio is about the balance of the worlds. It would make more sense to me that he wouldn't want everything to go back to one world with no death or rebirth. With that said I wonder if what we see is reio acting through the all mighty to create a true soul king replacement in Uryu knowing Yhwach wants to destroy the three worlds. I remember you mentioning Ichibē might be using ichigo as a vessel for the soul kings power being a perfect hybrid but that would mean reio is a perfect hybrid right? Yet Yhawach isn't and was able to take his place. If Yhwach is the literal son of reio not in the biblical sense of a son of god, this would make him, reio, the first true quincy not Yhwach right? If that's true than either Yhwach or Uryu are potential true soul king successors and the hybrid part is Shinigami assumption. Sorry if this last part is off base, but ive never understood the animosity that reio supposably has for the Shinigami. It's never sat well with me that the all seeing soul king could be taken advantage of by the Shinigami or noble families, it's always seemed more plausible that he willingly allowed the dismemberment and crystallization to become a passive anchor to the worlds rather than an evolving anchor that might one day grow to hate one of the three worlds and disrupt the balance. It would be a crazy long game if he allowed his condition to happen because he knew and wanted Yhwach to kill him and take his place an untold many years later. At this point its been potentially a few thousand years (probably more) since he was reduced to his current condition. It's been over a thousand years since Yhwachs first failure and from what I've seen it wasn't even Yhwach goal to kill the soul king a thousand years ago, it seemed more like retaliation for Ichibē interfering in Yhwach world. With all that said (sorry for the ramble) I hope Uryu is being set up for a better purpose that " you killed my mother now prepair to die"

Maybe with this route, we have the possibility of a change in the ending with uryu helping more in some way with his new power. Maybe I'm just dreaming, but there is lots of exciting stuff going on for bleach

Do we think Uryu was aware that the Zero Squad can't technically die and therefore was fine killing her as he plans to assassinate yhwach gin style or do we think this is just Uryu being a cold shinigami killer?

2024-10-07 17:30:05 +0000 UTCMy thoughts prior to watching your take: I initially thought it was his vollstandig but the next day and since ive been thinking maybe it could be yhwach forcing uryu to act - which is why his eyes go red with blut coming off them. It's also interesting that the wings are flowing from within and not drawing power from without like his letzt still and other Quincy abilities. When he falls out of senjumarus bankai he also briefly has what looks like a target on his chest which I thought was interesting... Anyway on with your video
