Today we're diving into a topic I've wanted to discuss for a while and wrestled with how to approach it - were the Top 3 Espada a disappointment? Now when I say that, I mean specifically in regards to their fights - the characters themselves are enduringly popular for good reason.
Let's take a look at each of them in detail and how their fights played out, as well as eventually compare and contrast them with Yhwach's Schutzstaffel - where do they rise and fall in comparison?

Halibel got off the worst I'd say. Her power up actually weakening her for some reason and (imo) giving her a worse design as well. Always felt strange that Soi Fon alone of all people had to deal with Barragan, you'd think Ukitake would've tried to be a little more helpful than just bully a child
