What is YORUICHI'S ZANPAKUTO? The Goddess of Flash's SHIKAI & BANKAI Theories
Added 2023-11-23 19:00:05 +0000 UTCYoruichi's zanpakuto remains one of Bleach's greatest secrets - in fact, we'll probably never learn what it really is.
But, that just gives us an opportunity to speculate! In this video, I present 4 or 5 ideas for her Shikai and Bankai, but with a twist! The ideas have to fit Yoruichi as a character, but need to have a fatal flaw - a reason for her to feel she's stronger without it.

Honestly, I love the idea of a Shinigami having a recon zanpakuto - I've always wondered if Akon might have a zanpakuto like that, but it works even better for Yoruichi!

2023-11-25 20:58:17 +0000 UTCI always liked the idea that her zanpakuto might possibly specialize in recon abilities that allow her to plan out her heists for kisuke. Maybe a shikai that mapped out the infrastructure of a spherical radius around her along with detailed analyses of individual reiryoku & reiatsus within that radius. And a bankai that made her able to pass through inanimate objects of her choice that aren’t spiritually powered (no Lille style cheating in battle) within the sphere of her shikai. The drawback would be the amount of energy required to maintain shikai alone would make shunko impossible, and the bankai would potentially even take so much power to maintain that even a basic shunpo would prove difficult. Due to this she would only bring it along if she was 100% sure she’s not engaging in combat. Then I just headcanon the Gotei was in a temporary wartime state in the flashback with kisuke and so her zanpakuto was mandated by Yama. It’s a lot of stretching and guessing and headcanon, but hey that’s all part of the fun right?
