Thanks man. Yeah the fact that it reached his eyes (which was emphasized in the shot) and that as we know he activates the Almighty very soon was just a detail I think the anime really focused well. During the flashback ichibei takes his eyes and loses Pernida and now he reaches his eyes and takes back the Almighty. Maybe that was obvious in the manga and I just missed it. Quick edit: I could be reading too much into it. Might just be symbolism with no real mechanic behind it.

During the actual fight? Yhwach tries to force his reiatsu into Ichibei's veins to control his body, but Ichibei just brute forces it back out again, and pushes it back into Yhwach's body to the point where his face explodes with blood - I'm not sure if that's the part you mean, but yeah.

Senjumaru’s Bankai is on a whole different level than it looks on the first glance. It’s not only a sealing technique (the Sternrittern were sealed into the cloth fabric) but a fate sealing technique. She is literary weaving their fate: Lille Barro is fractioned like a kaleidoscope foreshadowing him being disintegrated in many parts by Shinken Hakkyoken. Askin dying in a dome that collapses around him foreshadowing dying in the Gift Bereich. Pernida surrounded by sand foreshadowing him bursting to dust after devouring Nemu’s remains. Gerald covered in ice by Hitsugaya. Haschwalth fighting against fire foreshadowing his fight against Bazz-B. I’m not sure what Uryu being mesmerised by the Quincy Star means, thou. It might mean him being blinded by the Quincy doctrine and pride.

oh.... I didn't know that! Yeah, now that makes a lot of sense!

You know what, you're onto something there since I couldn't put my finger on the other 3. I would base the black sand off kurotsuchi himself because his namesake straight up means black soil. So it seems this Bankai is simulating your future final moments via weaving out a metaphoric prophecy of your death in whatever poetic way it can and killing you that way.

I'm pretty sure it's playing on the future, not their past, hence Lillie's X-Axis being reflected on him as it happens with Nanao, Gerard being frozen, Haschwalth and flames (Bazz-B), Askin getting stabbed and full of holes dying inside some cage, Ishida's a little tricky but it could be because his future will be changed. Pernida's I got nothing on, but I'm pretty sure that's what Senjumaru's Bankai is supposed to be doing, I dunno.

Also I'm just now realising, Senjumaru's Bankai is playing on their past. Specifically, Uryu and Haschwalth's since we've seen their past. Haschwalth's involves fire which we know from his past Yhwach burned down Haschwalth's home and killed his uncle. Uryu's involved him seeing in the fabrics a very specific depiction of the Quincy Cross in the sky and reiatsu being drawn to it in weaving and Uryu just kneeling to it suddenly dying just like how his mother died from the Auswählen in the past.

Senjumaru's Bankai from the looks and function of it is basically a mix of Rose's and Shunsui's Bankai. A stage-type "poetry in motion" Bankai that just plays out and outright kills you and from what her Bankai is doing, it has multiple ways of killing you based on the poem she recites ending in death and your silhouette being branded in the tapestry ( assuming your corpse is sealed inside the weave forever). Very beautiful Bankai and I've noticed they've given Senjumaru A LOT of action time. I guess they had a meeting saying they wanted to give more time to one of them and Senjumaru won the vote. Also it's pretty safe to say Senjumaru's Shikai ability is basically everything she's been doing ever since she showed up and put those arms and needles to work. A utility shikai that comes in handy for any situation. Pun intended. She can thread people's clothes for protection or lethal purposes, thread decoy illusionary fabrics, thread bindings, thread shields ( her parasol that bounced Uryu's attack), can do quick patch work healing with cotton infused with her reiatsu. Pretty sure that's everything she's done the whole time.

After watching the episode prior to your reaction, I thought "Oh boy he's gonna be ecstatic with Senjumaru's Bankai". Even after witnessing it, your reaction still made me crack a huge smile. And it would make sense for either Uryu or Haschwalth to defeat her, taking the 0 Division out of the narrative (at least for now assuming they can only come back with Ichibe's intervention or another external assistance) Also, was not expecting Treachery to start playing! Be that as it may, thank you for the reaction!

Question for y'all. When ichibe touched yhwach that is when he took back the Almighty right? Don't remember that from the manga but it's been a bit. Am I wrong? That's why he had blood around his eyes?

Did you see Kubo's interview from like 2 days ago I believe? He heavily implied that they are going to be changing alot of stuff moving forward. He talked about being rushed and said this is his chance to give the people what they deserved.

I have a feeling that Uryu is gonna be the one to finish off Senjumaru. Yhwach did say that that the Sternritters would see his power for themselves so would make sense for Uryu to show how insane Antithesis is especially since we never got to see much of it in the manga. It would also bring the Schutzstaffel to respect Uryu more as a Quincy and “successor”. It’s a great time to be a Bleach fan right now!

All I can say is this: I love Bleach, and I can’t wait for the movie length breakdown on this. It was an absolute blast seeing your reactions every week and seeing everybody’s reactions in the comments in patreon as well. But what am I saying? There’s still more! I cant wait for Cour 3! And seeing how her work in her Bankai seems to show the eventual deaths of those within it, I guess Senjumaru is truly a “Weaver of Fate.”

Now when the leaks for this episode were starting to circulate I was a little disappointed when I learned what the end point was. Cause up until this point, the leaks had said that this episode was going to titled “A” and would end on 611. BUT then the day before we learned that wasn’t true or during production something had changed and the Almighty was shifted to open Cour 3 instead. Which I think works, as it will hit the ground running. While I was initially bummed and the cutoff is rather jarring, I really don’t care because of the original content we got. When Senjumaru said Bankai I got chills and went nuts. And now begins our brutal wait for Cour 3 sometime next year… well I’m thankful I have Undead Unluck to help pass the time.
