This episode had a tough job before it - adapting material that meant they'd either have to cut something, somewhere, or seriously restructure things to get the effect they wanted. They chose, interestingly, the latter.

I definitely think so. My theory is next week will open with 522 and the Oetsu stuff, because there's a break in the training that's filled with the Zaraki battle. So after that intro, we will get 525, 526, and 527 of the Zaraki fight.

2022-12-06 09:32:18 +0000 UTCUnohana's VA really punching above her weight I mean wow. Also looking forward to more ep6 level animation, honestly I feel this fight has to be so much more dynamic. Like a lot of the fight with Yama was about the majesty and grandeur of his Bankai. But yes for sure found the structure slightly striking. But excited for next week. Gotta be 15 or more mins of actually battle.
