In this video, we take a look at all of those founding captains in a little more depth, and speculate about them a bit more (but here's hoping Kubo still gives us new information soon!)

That's kind of badass, I like it a lot - but then what about Isshin etc? Maybe he just decided to take up the name again when enough time had passed, perhaps.

2022-12-06 09:31:07 +0000 UTCI still think Danjiro is related to the Shiba clan, but that is because of another theory I have. Long story short, Kukaku Shiba has a spiral design on her shirt, which I think looks like a calligraphy mark. I think Central 46 wanted the clan dead when they demoted the house, and Ichibe renamed them to save a family that has been part of the Gotei 13 since the beginning.
