You know... I never once thought about it... But when he gains his fullbring and can start to throw the guard of Tensa Zangetsu, the shape is exactly that of the Sternritter Quincy cross in many depictions of the attack. Sometimes more arms appear, but the most prominent one I remember is the scene of him training with Jackie and he throws the five pointed cross/star. The levels of foreshadowing that Kubo managed to work in without drawing attention to them is amazing.
