Written and illustrated in 2014 while the manga was ongoing, I created this chapter primarily because I was disappointed at the treatment of Cang Du and wanted to give him a Vollstandig and a flashback. Turned out we included Isshin's Bankai too!
The chapter was way too long, but I really enjoyed it and the two-part fight remains one of the works I'm most proud of. Let me know what you think - part 2 is coming soon. The title page of this fight was drawn by my good friend SKurasa!
