DD Update
Added 2025-01-16 17:37:24 +0000 UTCHello all! You have probably already heard about dashingdon closing down. I've been thrown a few suggestions—notably itch.io—but I know nothing about how itch.io works and we've only been given till the end of the month (14 days) and I have a lot of stuff to port on here so I'll be moving things to cogdemos.ink for now! I'm prioritizing efficiency and speed over everything else. Luckily, cogdemos works really well and is just like DD! So I'm happy about that.
I'll start poking around itch.io on the publishing side of things and try to learn how it works. Over time, if I find itch.io works better then I'll definitely move on there and post more recent works as I go. Right now I don't have enough time to learn about a new website and port everything at once.
New Patreon stuff will be going up as usual and chapter four writing shouldn't be delayed too much (by a day or two—the time it takes me to port everything).
I've already ported the demo. The good news is that people who are still struggling with playing beyond chapter two will likely not have any trouble now (knock on wood)!
I have made code diving available because I am very generous /jk it's mostly because I have no beta testing ready yet and I haven't updated it so it benefits to have it available for now :))
TLDR: Business as usual aside from different web link. Demo has been ported and is ready to play.

Unfortunately irl that is called being "functional" and "not a disaster", so I have to settle. As a thank you I will try to report errors more consistently when I run into them.

2025-01-16 19:39:28 +0000 UTCBtw Amy, you absolutely don’t need to have an account to save. Local saves have been on cogdemos since November, it’s constantly being updated w/ new things since it’s a wip. Also you can export/import saves which is a nice qol feature

2025-01-16 18:43:11 +0000 UTCJust a note to everyone here: When you go to play the demo on cogdemos, please first delete all cookies and temp files from your browser. When I first set up the site, we tried to code it so, even when your browser is closed, it would track where you left off. Unfortunately, the cookie that was set cause a host of issues when authors updated their games (complaining about achievements that didn't exist or nonexistent variables). It has since been changed so it won't save that cookie, but if it already exists, you may see errors. Deleting the cookies and your cache will fix the issue (and you only need to do this once, not every time you visit the site).

2025-01-16 18:27:03 +0000 UTCThe only problem about Cogdemos is that in order to have saves, as a reader, we have to create an account, and the saves amount is a small amount. I'm not a fan of it personally, but I understand that you have to do what you can as a writer to deal with this curveball.
