One Punch Man Season 3 UPDATE
Added 2025-10-27 11:32:19 +0000 UTCI ran a poll on Youtube and want to do the same here. As far as weekly reaction releases of this season - I'm not sure if it's worth my time right now. I'd rather focus on other shows I'm watching and enjoying. The first two episodes were a massive disappointment. And I was honest about that and offered (a lot) criticism of the show lol. There has been way too much drama surrounding this series. I am personally thinking about binging it at the end of the season when all episodes are out.

Obligatory "There is always Haikyuu! to watch instead!" For real though, whatever makes you happy. You should always watch what YOU want to watch. Id always rather you watch something that you like than something you gotta wear a mask and pretend that you are enjoying it.

2025-10-29 23:05:40 +0000 UTCI talked to my brother about this season of OPM and why it bothers me so much. The art of the show is based on the redrawn version of the webcomic. The original webcomic is by ONE, the same guy who did Mob Psycho 100. Both webcomics feature his very simplistic art style, which obviously doesn't matter because it's a hilarious webcomic. Then Murata comes along, and reimagines the whole thing into this gorgeously drawn shounen masterpiece. The art created by Murata is on a completely different level to other artists. The effect of this is to throw into sharp relief the comic juxtaposition of all these very serious and cool characters and Saitama, the Caped Baldy, blowing away all of that pomp and circumstance with a single punch. The fact that they chose to go with the Murata redraw art style without realising that the joke doesn't work unless the art is peak just goes to show how little Bandai Namco actually care about this property.
