Book 6 Early Access: Chapter 4
Added 2023-07-15 15:49:35 +0000 UTCA "highschool anime" brings to mind about a hundred different tropes: everything from foreign exchange students, to culture festivals, to getting bento boxes from your childhood friend. In Chapter 4, our MC will come face-to-face with one such trope themself!
Misunderstandings play a large role in drama in general, but I feel like highschool animes in particular tend to overuse them. SoH doesn't have many misunderstandings, as the MC is pretty perceptive with only a few notable blindspots, but this chapter is a good example of one. It helps illustrate how different their expectations are given their (very rough and unconventional) upbringing.
