I really like the kid's friends--especially the dynamic they all have together and how Masami/Masashi fits in. They're so easy to create drama with, and so if you haven't already, make sure to read more about them over at the side story compendium!
In this chapter, we start seeing a bit of a shift in MC due to them being "reborn" as a cute shugenja. It's fun to explore the psychological effect this has on them, and how the player can either resist it, or embrace it.
