I believe WWE had already decided that this briefcase was going to be burnt this year and if you look at who was in the match, 5 of them weren’t going to get elevated if they fail. Andrade: just resigned and people already think he’s getting buried bc he’s the speed champ. A fail cash in would just look even worse. Carmelo: in his rookie year and wouldn’t get elevated on a failed cash in. LA knight: should have won last year and just him winning this year and losing the cash in would be the worst booking decision ever. Chaddy Daddy: Had over 5 intercontinental championship matches and couldn’t even win 1. To me he wouldn’t be credible. It’s like Solo losing 100 matches in a row and he somehow became the tribal chief. Doesn’t make sense Jey Uso: there could have been a storyline here with the built where he tries to cash it in but bloodline 2.0 interferes and causes him to lose. McIntrye: elevates his feud with Punk. Did the Drew and Pink feud need this fail cash in? No it didn’t, but it was the only one at the time that made sense and they weren’t going to bank on the others to get elevated when’s there’s no storyline in place atm.
