Update for Lifter Tier

Greetings, Lifter Tier. I hope you are all doing okay and are enjoying SPOILED 2.

I’m going to cut straight to the chase here - I am having to make the difficult decision to raise the price of Lifter Tier from $1 US to $2 US per month. This will take effect starting in the new year (January 2025).

I’ll get into the reasons in a moment, but first I want to clarify - NO other changes are occurring. Powerlifter and Titan Tiers will NOT be affected. Content will NOT be affected. This is purely a one dollar rise for Lifter Tier, a decision I did not come to lightly, and in fact did not want to make at all. But it is based on the following factors:

Foremost, policy and algorithm changes across social medias and even Patreon itself are making it increasingly difficult to get eyes on my work, which, as a full-time artist, is how I promote myself and generate things like Patreon subscriptions and Storefront sales.

Some of this has always been an uphill battle. 18+ rated Patreons aren’t publicly discoverable, for instance. But a more recent example is Twitter/X de-prioritising any post with a link in it. This means if I now include direct links to this Patreon within a Twitter post, Twitter will deliberately show that post to fewer people, resulting in far less engagement with my work, and fewer Patreon subs overall. And this issue is not exclusive to Twitter. I’ve seen evidence of it on Instagram too.

In short, I am constantly fighting against social media algorithms and policy updates just to get my work seen.

As a result I’ve been having to make a lot more commissions than usual to keep ‘Lokitu’ economically viable, which is eating into more and more of my schedule, taking away time I should be spending creating stories for all of you.

This is not to say that I’ll ever stop making commissions entirely, but things have become grossly unbalanced, resulting in a lot of stress and even weekend working for me.

Something needed to change to get things back in balance.

I know all of this may sound like I’m making a big deal over a single dollar increase, but please believe me when I say I know the difference that it can make, and I put this off for as long as I could.

In short, I love making artwork and writing stories for all of you guys and the wider community and I want to keep doing it, and this change will help with that.

I’m sorry that I have to do this.

Please feel free to DM me with any questions you may have.

I love and appreciate all of you VERY much,

Lokitu

Thank you for understanding and for such a thoughtful and kind response. I always want to be as straight forward as possible with these things and, at the end of the day, I just want to be able to keep creating stories and artwork for all of you wonderful folks.

I said it when I ordered a commission off you, and I'll say it again: I absolutely respect you for your upfront honesty about your work and pricing (especially where I went for a sequence with more than 1 person in). It's clear to see your passion about your work, and whilst I may not be an artist myself, I can completely understand how hard an environment it is as a job, because if you're not creating content, you aren't earning, which is a tough gig, especially as a main, or major part of your income. Whilst this price increase won't affect me, I'll carry on supporting your incredible art even if you have to raise the price of other tiers in the future. It's not just the transactional honesty from commissions/subscriptions, it's also the life stories and conversations I've had or heard in your video content that gives a great insight into gainerism and figuring things out, which I'm still in the process of myself. Love your content and I look forward to seeing what you're cooking up! ❤
