THE SUBSTANCE Reaction

  1. This movie disturbed me to my very core, to the very substance of my being.

  2. For some reason my camera kept losing focus throughout, and I only noticed in the edit! I'm sorry for that, loves 😭

Comments

obsessed with you thinking charlie`s angels is a bond movie

brun

I feel like the other body is conscious but in the way of like before birth and ‘after death’ forus depending on your beliefs ofc all are valid because none of us truly know point blank but We don’t remember floating as sperms so I think The consciousness is basically moved into the new body but so the body doesn’t rot it still remains there as a literal meat suit there hence the feeding and taking care of the other body still ofc this is how i feel about it we do know she is Elizabeth each time she changes no matter how she speaks about her or her other self but anyways sorry im lit rn my birthdays coming up and im depressed so im smoking a self rolled 2g joint with stizzy weed the blue bag hybrid mixed with some strawberry guava from my dealer and mixed with some really good crumble wax yeah im very lit getting back to the video now lmao I love all of yall and I hope everyone is doing ok. It’s rough out here rn. And for most of us wearing our masks pretending to be ok and fine. We’ll get through this. Idk how idk when but WE WILL. Love yall

Vinny Perez

lol, perhaps he knows exactly who he is 🤭

Patrick Anthony

her boss talking about her age while simultaneously straining to piss says a whole lot.

Rich

Dennis Quaid must have zero self awareness that he would play this part lol.

Dakota Hill

I’ve been waiting for this one! I loooove that she puts the actual movie on the screen, other reaction channels I’ve seen don’t do that usually.

Quentin Aldredge

Love your reactions, Alanda — just subscribed and so happy to see you’ve covered my favorite film from last year! 💉😱

LM

I'm of the opinion that that last third of the film is about "trolling and punishing the audience" that so easily and enthusiastically partakes in the superficial construction and frenzied destruction of so many women in the spotlight. Elizabeth/Sue becomes the explicit and external monstrosity that has been the internal turmoil fueling this whole Substance experience in the first place and through that monstrosity we witness how the audience doesn't care or even take notice of the monstrosity that Elizabeth/Sue has turned herself into, all in an effort to please the audience's gaze/desire which has been trained to expect impossibly sustained beauty. As long as she puts on a pretty, smiling face (literally), they don't care about her well-being as a full and whole person, just a pretty spectacle to entertain and delight them. The overt, non-subtle absurdity of it all just emphasizes the inherent absurdity of these beauty standards and the expectations of the audience's gaze so of course when they attack her (unsurprisingly the men calling her a freak and a monster believe she is worthy of being violently put down) it makes sense that the punishment for doing so is literally spraying them with the bloody gory horror that she has had to deal with internally and externally in her Substance journey to recapture the elation of that beaming spotlight again. It's an indictment of the audience's often superficial and covertly violent gaze that helps perpetuate the self-hate and violent self-loathing Elizabeth was stewing in throughout the film. I know it didn't work or connect for a lot people but I found it to be an appropriately overt satirical finale that felt in step with the overall dark satirical absurdity of the film. Also, I DO think that sometimes the audience needs to be "punished" or "indicted" and I like when a creator has the balls to do so and gesture towards that in a cheeky way. So it worked for me.

Patrick Anthony

I don't even like to think too closely about the minutiae of The Substance™️ science tbh 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Alanda

Honestly not sure how I feel about this movie. Definitely love the message - it's a movie with a Lot to say - but everything starting from the MONSTRO ELISASUE title card felt like it belonged in a different movie entirely. Maybe that's just my opinion on first watch though? I don't know, I'd love to hear some thoughts!

Allison

I've always thought that this is a body horror take on Death Becomes Her. Now that would be a crazy double feature. xD

Kira Velazquez

the one thing that bothered me was if demi and sue were one and sue sucking demi dry made demi cripple, couldn't demi have sucked sue's liquid to reverse the effect? this movie was disturbing on too many levels.. alanda i appreciate you watching this but girl let's never do that again!

J'aime Black

NOT CHICKEN!!! omg I'm bout to cry

Alanda

I might never eat roasted chicken again 😭😭😭

Alanda

RIGHT!!!! 😭😭😭😭

Alanda

I still haven't seen it

Alanda

so mf funny 😭😭😭😭

Alanda

and even as a smiley person it's inescapable😭😭😭😭 because it wasn't never about no damn SMILE!

Alanda

I HATE EVERYONE FOR MAKING ME LOOK UPON THEM 😭😭😭😭

Alanda

themes applicable in so many ways, that's how we know they made a banger

Alanda

it's truly one of the most grotesque things I've EVER laid eyes on

Alanda

OH NO FREN NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! like tears just welled in my eyes. like i can't believe this happened to you! I would never be able to eat whatever I was eating during this movie again! I haven't eaten poultry since watching this! 😭😭😭😭😭 (maybe I'm hypersensitive)

Alanda

incredibly heartbreaking!

Alanda

I was thinking about Carrie the whole time it was playing out so when I watched it back in the edit and saw that I didn't mention it, I was shocked 😭. I can never remember what I say while watching movies, and sometimes I'm having so many thoughts so fast that I say nothing and this was that. anyway yes! gorgeous! and absolutely Carrie down!

Alanda

you get it😭

Alanda

🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🤸🏾‍♀️

Alanda

I was laughing so hard I was crying during the edit, but I also felt so bad for what she made of herself 😭😭😭

Alanda

right like each element of the self loathing the other!! Lord this was ROUGH! Even Elizabeth's love for her youthfulness and beauty was coupled with the hatred she felt for how shallow and selfish that part of her was 😭😭😭

Alanda

right! I had many nights of strange irrational fear after watching this. There isn't even a haunting or a killer but I was so on edge after this 😭

Alanda

😭😭😭😭 I can't do it again! Poultry has been ruined for me since the first viewing!

Alanda

I thought the same things about those kids at the end! And then I was like "well breasts aren't inherently sexual so I wont make it weird" but then the men in the audience were clearly sexually gratified by the nudity and I was like "ah, this is very intentional and I, too, am making excuses for the absurdity of it."

Alanda

pussy in the wind has me cackling 😭😭😭 but seriously, yes. She's a powerhouse in this film and I read that she actually wasn't even the first choice for this movie. She brought her memoir for the director to read and it really highlighted how well she identified with the mindfuck that results from trying to be a forever youthful darling in these horrid spaces.

Alanda

I disagree because admiring a woman's beauty isn't the issue. The issue is that the industry and all the other men think that women lose their value after the age of 25 and are no longer attractive. But Fred knew her from high school and thought she was pretty then AND pretty now in her "old age" he saw her as the same girl he knew years ago whereas other superficial people see her as a washed up old hag...

Lailah Johnson

they said "flip the script!" because yeah pretty hurts every gender 😭

Alanda

I'm surprised how well I made it through, but I was so disturbed afterward that I would get scared in my house for no reason 😭 It really is brilliantly done

Alanda

beautiful (terrifying and grotesque) juxtaposition!!

Alanda

omg HAPPY (late) BIRTHDAY BEAUTY 🥰🎂🍰🎈

Alanda

THANK GOD I DRANK IT FAST 😭 have not eaten poultry since watching this 😖

Alanda

no but those lil skits have me on the FLOOR 😭

Alanda

I sure hope you’re kidding lol you know we vote for what she watches…so We stand by our choice.

Ari Morales

I don’t know about that. Art is very joyful in his destruction, and The Scene is more I think that she would want to see. Just saying…

Ari Morales

Loved the reaction. Fellow community members, I feel like if Alanda can handle this movie (especially the last 15-20min), Alanda can handle at least the first Terrifier?

Andrew Morris

I am beyond disturbed... eating popeyes while watching this was a mistake fr 😭😭💔💔💔💔

Diego Loewenstein

Is it just me or does it feel like Fred is just an older version of Oliver? Both seem superficial of admiring women’s beauty and fanboying. Maybe they’re two sides of the same coin?

Brandy Henry

Woah

the3Awakened1

This reaction was SO good that I have to watch this a second time just to get all of your reactions over again.

Omar Azimi

This was everything I wanted and more! Can’t wait for the next movie Alanda!

Captain Astro

We’d love to see you do Sinister!

Tommy Murphy

same, i feel like only a few of them would get a low rating from her though!

Alex Rodriguez

Aye, why the hell would you make me watch this? We are one. Don’t do that shit again. I literally just asked for your address on twitter because somehow this feels like you hate me.

Shay Tuck

Does my favorite person Alanda have a letterboxd? She should! I want to see what she’d rate the films she watches

Tommy Murphy

“gin if you’re nasty” you get it lmaoo

lesbianxenomorph

It's such a deep dive into self hatred. Right down to leaving the old her on the bathroom floor. It was fun watching this with you! The first time I saw this, I was cracking up at her looking at herself as Elisue 😭 P.S. I'm clocking the Bey references cause it was def "the soul that needs the surgery." 👌🏾❤️

Belladonna Rose

If u squint this movie is very Buddhist with the “We are One” principle. Whatever is done to the least of u, shall be returned to U. By the power of 3 make them see 🪄

Dom

Incredible movie, but the sound design is outstanding and so unique.

Leon Watts

Wearing a sparkly dress, doing her crafts…it’s the dream

Joanna Bettelheim

I can’t stop thinking about the “you are one” / “respect the balance” / “what is taken” in the context of throwing marginalized people under the bus to try and win power. And it doesn’t matter how much you try and take from them (aka also yourself), you will not have enough to escape the system.

Joanna Bettelheim

I watched this for the first time via this video on Friday and I am still trying to find my appetite 😭😭 that shrimp scene snatched it from me more than any of the body horror tbh 🤢🤮🍤🦐

Alex Rodriguez

I don’t know if I hated Sue or Dennis Quaid’s character more. I’d probably have to go with Sue.

Thomas Riggs

For me personally that “pretty girls should always SMILE” is so damn triggering like AYO😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 the amount of times people(99% of the time men) tell me to smile or that it’s a shame my mask is covering up my pretty face and they can’t see my smile it’s like…just leave me alone bruh🫥🫥🫥

bribricutie3

Everyone’s reaction to when Monstro grabs that curling iron sends me so bad sksksksk every TIME it’s “now WHAT…?!” like😭😭😭

bribricutie3

I saw Anora, great film, didn't deserve to win an Oscar over this movie 🤷🏽‍♂️

Christopher Nicholas

Plus it’s crazy to think that Demi worked with both Margaret Qualley in this and Margaret’s mom Andie MacDowell (in St. Elmo’s Fire)

Brandy Henry

I thought it was heartbreaking when she was getting ready for her date and the absolute self hatred on display because she's not as youthful/beautiful like Sue, which beauty itself is very subjective, I literally said outloud "Girl, don't do this to yourself, you look stunning" 🤷‍♂️

Zach Boardman

Hahaha omg I love you for watching this. I saw this in theaters on the last day it was showing and my jaw was dropped on the floor when I saw Monstro Elisasue but I kept dying laughing at that poor girl and her body troubles. By the time she really was loving herself for the way she was (even when the titty fell out of her head) it was a little too late. Just goes to show standards for women aging are unrealistic. Let women embrace their bodies as they are. I must say though, Demi has a gorgeous body. I hope I look that good when I’m in my 60’s. Like daaaayum 😍 Sorry for you having to endure through that but needless to say it was extremely entertaining 😂 Did it make you hungry for a drumstick? 🍗 🤣🤣 Sorry I had to go there. Love ya 🫶🏻

Brandy Henry

Girl! I did the same thing at the beginning of the movie. It went silent and I said what the hell happened to my sound?! Did I mute? 😂😂

Marissa Moore

yayyyy 💓💓💓

kaylyn

Sorry you had to set your eyes on this film 😭

Nay

The Substance sits with you for a while after. Even if you aren't initially like "Wow. Masterpiece" you are still left with something. I think we've all had that moment of looking in the mirror and wishing what was reflected back was different. I know I've struggled to leave the house at times, but I guess the difference is that I do, because I have people around me to see and cultivate joy with. Elisabeth - unfortunately - didn't. A lifetime of adoration and then suddenly those that once thought you were the bee's knees suddenly think you're worthless; it turns out those work colleagues and experiences are just that. Once the work is gone, what's left? Loneliness is a killer. Value comes from the inside and should be self-prescribed. Also, ageism and sexism sucks. Anyone who partakes will get their karma once the clock ticks enough times. Love this movie and the truths it has to tell. The fact that it tells it *like this* is...wow. Wonderful watching with you Alanda. That was another great reaction. So fun! Can't wait to hear what's next.

Dick Thomson

Yessss so glad you did this! The balance between underlying camp throughout & horrifying (/unsettlingly realistic?) themes regarding self worth, aging, etc was so well done Also. That curling iron bit at the end gets me every goddamn time. They're so delicate about it, I can't.

Rachel

I really enjoyed Anora and thought Mikey Madison was wonderful. Of the five nominees (Justice for Marianne Jean-Baptiste!) I wanted Demi to win. I think her work here is incredible and improves on every watch. But I don't resent Mikey for winning either. Great is great, even if one performance grabs your favour more than the other. I think it's smart to wait until another time, so you can separate the two and appreciate each for what it is.

Dick Thomson

I wouldn't have been able to handle the visuals of this movie without you right there. It's a brilliant film. As you said, it's so poignant and touches on so many aspects of a woman's existence, especially in Hollywood. That self-hatred, expectation, the hypocritical and cruel male gaze. OUCH!

Ana Fox

I absolutely love how the one traditionally hot beefy male in the movie is naked every second. He’s totally objectified and ogled.

Aaron Johnson

Idky but after I first saw this movie? All I could think about is how ballsy of an actress Demi Moore is. I don’t even follow her like that but I’m American enough to know that this beautiful woman has probably had to put up with and do and be horrible things just to have a job in Hollywood. And then she makes this movie…basically giving the business a giant middle finger. You think I’m too old and wrinkly? Well check out my whole, unedited, naked body. You think I can’t act? Let me go thru a full range of humanity. And then at the end of it? Her pursuit to become the eternal youth? Ended up completely transforming her into a literal puddle of gore with her face on it. I never fucked with Demi Moore until I saw this film. I don’t even like body horror but she put her pussy in the WIND with this one. Bravo, Mama. Bra-fuckin-Vo 👏🏻

Joe

idk how this movie manages to be so sad and gross but also INCREDIBLE and soo thematically rich. and funny at times like!! 😭 my top horror movie of 2024

joshua

This was a hilarious reaction LOL. I've already seen this film before so I could happily cover the screen to hide the gory body horror this time. Just focused on your reaction 🤣🤣🤣 see, I would have tapped out at step 1 because I can't be crouching on any dirty floor to get inside an equally dirty room. If I somehow managed it, I'd tap out at step 2 because I would rather check into an old folks home than put a needle in my arm. Also, Elizabeth should have called for that termination thingy after the 1st go round because she did NOT get to enjoy any time as Sue. She didn't experience none of it. The beauty, the youth, the fame. It all literally happened to someone else. She didn't even get the memories. Also, tell me why there are little children attending a show where the dancers are 99% naked!?!? Omg this movie is NUTS

Nyssa Rawther 🍉

Beautifully shot. Beautifully directed. Two amazing performances. Near vomit inducing visuals. I think I'm done with this movie. 🤣 I've watched it on my own, then on the Petty Pumpkins Patreon, and now with Queen Alanda. I think 3 times is enough to witness a mini-titty being birthed out the side of someone's head, and Demi Moore emerging as a Mama Gollum is burned into my mind. Although I do appreciate that one actor who showed his nudey booty twice on camera.

Joshua Scott

Yessss, Kiernan Shipka was so good in it!!!

Cosmic Giraffe

I'm actually kind of resentful that this movie disturbed me as much as it did, because now I can't/won't rewatch this 20 times like all your other videos!

Samantha Gallagher

u need to watch totally killer!!!! u wont regret it. one of my faves

Jess

This is my favorite movie from 2024 (my second was MadS, and I know you're a zombie girl, please watch that if you haven't!), and it's disgusting and brutal, but amazing and gorgeous. First time I watched it I thought to myself Demi deserved an Oscar for the line delivery of "Yes, that's right!" mocking Sue alone! I'm still devastated she didn't win. Haven't watched Anora yet still because I'll be biased against it, and it deserves to be watched without that.

Zombies_Are_Real

IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE

georgie

“Just so much hatred” no truly the way they displayed self hatred throughout the whole movie but especially the fight scene makes my chest so tight like☹️☹️☹️ she hated that part of her soooo much that she was so cruel with her own death SICK

bribricutie3

Watching you experience the Monstro ElisaSue segment had me in stitches!!! I was gasping for air when she pulled out the curling iron 🤣🤣

Jacob Faraone

I've waited 100 years for this. One of my favorite films of all tiiiiime. What an incredible metaphor.

bawbee

Currently watching this after work, drunk asf from 3 buzzballs, im locked in LMFAOO

SANGWON'S #1 FANBOY

WOW I HATED IT but only because it was so incredibly done that I almost vomited in disgust multiple times. Am i glad i saw it? Yeah. Will I ever watch it again? HELL NO.

Jonah

Yeah, this is one movie that really has to be seen on a theater screen to get the full effect. But it's a cult classic already, so if you live near a theater that does showings of such, you should get a chance sooner rather than later.

BlacKnightSun

This was kind of full circle for me, because I found you on YouTube with your Carrie reaction! You didn't mention it here, but I expect you caught how reminiscent that scene with the blood spraying around was of Carrie spraying the hoses on the prom goers!

BlacKnightSun

I totally agree.

Joe

Okay, I actually loved that. Like, way more than I thought I would. But, damn. The amount of hate Elisabeth had for herself really was devastating.

Vile Youth

I love your reactions so much 🤣 Elizabeth and Sue are indeed one consciousness; it's just that the more time she spends as Sue, the more she disassociates from her original self. She deadass treats her current self like GARBAGE in favor of her hypothetical self.

Dess

Oh boy. Eating my dinner during this movie sure was a Choice 😅 Still a fun time watching with you anyway!

Kadiesha

A Drumstick!?

Jordan

37:14 a link to a tiktok? alanda plsss 😭

Trevein Walton

my #1 horror movie of last year.

tallasianchick

ElisaSue is my idol, complete self acceptance with a desire for glamor

Cass Reid

Not sure if anyone recommended this as a Demi flick but there's a movie called The Seventh Sign that she starred in, might be worth a check in! Also, still waiting on the Long Kiss Goodnight reaction at some point! :)

Patrick Lyke

Oh you are stronger than me cause I can't eat during this one. So many scenes make me straight up nauseous.

RinCaimo

Genuinely one of the most grotesque things I’ve ever watched😭 Sue killing Elizabeth is the hardest watch EVER.

Noah🩵

I’m SO ready for this! This movie seems MADE for your reaction 👀

Connor Castle-Boulay

i’m never gonna get zzavid calling her the six flags guy out of my head 💀

Alex Manning

Shrimp forever ruined for the masses.

Dani

WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY

Laryssa Almeida

Ya know...the first time I saw this movie (in a theater) I was too stuck on how ridiculously attractive Demi is prior to taking The Substance. Like...I was lost as to why someone with her face would have a hard time with anything but I think that's because I'm not a rich straight man with any power or influence in media. Lmao. Because of that, I ended up leaving the theater before the end of the movie because I could not imagine Demi Moore's fine ass struggling like that in front of a mirror. I was later recommended to watch it again, and to view it more like a fairy tale rather than literally. I have put off that experience off until now and I gotta say...I really wish I just sat my impulsive, reactive, "rushing to judge something" ass down in that theater for the finale!!!! Especially the very last part highlighting her original face!! No matter how pretty a person is, it seems like Hollywood will just move the fuck on after they've bled their bright stars dry. Damn.

Pierre Brown

One of the best movies of 2024, maybe even my favorite of that year. It is gross though. Body horror is not my favorite genre. But it's so effective in its storytelling and using the body horror for its advantage and Demi Moore is just so glorious in it!

Dominik

Still the best movie I've seen in a long time especially the visual 😍 the effects the camera angles. 👌

Angelo Trevino

In addition to it being an amazing movie on it's own, I adore that The Substance also serves as a love letter to horror as a genre, with all of the easter eggs and references in it. Like John Carpenter's The Thing (1982), The Shining style carpet, how the neon color of The Substance itself looks similar to "the reagent" in Re-Animator (1985), multiple references to Cronenberg like his version of The Fly (1986) and Sue's lips on the tv screens referencing Debbie Harry's in Videodrome. As a long time movie nerd, it was very fun to see all these nods to other stuff. So glad you watched this!

Taco Wolf

“Why do you want to bring me so low?” LITERALLY a perfect way to show how far people will go to do things in general but especially with this topic to stay young & desirable like ugh this movie is such a great commentary😭😭😭

bribricutie3

Alanda! This reaction was everything I needed and more 😂 a lot of the shots in this movie are heavily inspired by David Lynch and Stanley Kubrick, so cool. Have you seen any of their movies? I personally LOVE David Lynch, my favourite is Mullholland Drive and you definitely should add that to your list!

Kelly T

The Bond-esque role you’re thinking of with Demi was Charlie’s Angels 2. She was also one of the Brat Pack in the 80s with Rob Low and Molly Ringwald. Her most respected work is probably Ghost with Patrick Swayze but she’s talked about how she was told early in her career that she was told she would never be a serious actress so she got typecast as the cool, hot girl and then she became more famous for her relationships with Bruce Willis and then Ashton Kutcher. And for going bald for G.I. Jane. So great to see her get the opportunity to play this role and show her range this late in her career

peyotebritta

Worst customer service ever 😂

Terese Osland

The movie definitely isn't subtle with it's themes but tbh i like that they just fully leaned into the drama and the horror of it all. It feels like true 80s body horror in the best way while also having a very real emotional core. Really goes to show the violence we are willing to commit against ourselves when we listen to our insecurities and are also externally influenced by harmful standards of beauty. That bathroom scene where she's getting ready for her date still sticks with me it was amazingly nuanced and well performed!

Alex

i cannot watch that shrimp scene anymore

azulaghoul

Girl, it's always so easy to hate Dennis Quaid. There's a reason he was perfect for the role of Harvey, haha.

Janet Michelle

I love the bratty Substance receptionist over the phone

misery (the pig) 🐖

The thing that gets me is that the “best you” isn’t just younger and sexier, it’s a different person entirely…and hey, guess what? At the end of the day, the “better you” still doesn’t think she’s good enough. 😭😭😭 But now you gotta watch Coralie’s other movie, Revenge! It’s much more traditional and has a final girl for the ages!

Ty

What providence! Such joy thou has bestowed upon us on this beautiful Friday afternoon!!

Justin Lafleur

The way she labels Sue’s weeks on the calendar with her name, but Elisabeths are just crosses, time to pass until she can be Sue again. “You’re the only part of me worth loving.” ☹️☹️

Daniel McGuinness

A horrifically amazing movie with Miss Madison Lee herself!!! Demi being in a horror movie is 90% of the reason I ran to the cinema to see this 🙂‍↕️ and I’m so glad I did! Whole place was pretty much in stunned silence during the third act bloodbath, until one guy burst out laughing during the spraying of the audience and set everyone else off in scattered fits 😭 The movie itself is amazing. Comments on misogyny in the workplace, pressure/allure of cosmetic surgery, self-sabotage/guilt over “wasted” time etc The way you have to actually lower yourself to enter the place to get the Substance… yeah Also kudos to Dennis Quaid for having the courage to play himself in a movie, whew

Daniel McGuinness

If you ever wanted to extra feed us, or just to watch and enjoy, the BTS (about 25-30 mins) is on Youtube for this and it's incredible! It's basically all practical effects and how they shot everything is wild. This director was so in love with the story and I'm sure you can tell through the movie, but to hear her talk about it and watch her make it is on a whole other level.

Janet Michelle

“You definitely wouldn’t complain but… your husk is on the floor right by your feet” 😭😭

Daniel McGuinness

this was genuinely my favorite movie of 2024, I love how they addressed every single form of pressure (ageism, sexism, pitting two successful women against each other and creating tension/arguments between them, etc) or straight up harassment women have been going through for decades and still are. Demi deserved to win an Oscar for this role, and this isn't any shade towards Mikey nor Anora which was a fun time as well. when Elisabeth pulls herself to her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame always gets me in my feels😭

world of tinashe

ur reaction to the scene when sue drinks the diet coke was priceless, knew u’d eat that part up 😭

Ky Caruthers

Perfect timing. I just got back from lunch and don't want to do my actual work.

RC Flores

I’m so disappointed that they changed the song in the movie to the remix. I liked the vibe of the original so much more.

Naj.

Might make for a good pair with Black Swan (2010), which is celebrating its 15th anniversary, or if you want a comedy, Death Becomes Her (1992).

Tyler Foster

This movie has a great message but so disgusting 🫣 I was also so jealous, in awe, and wanting to mount Demi all at the same time. Girl she is 61 and looks like this 😍

Marlaina Lindsey

The “LET’S MAKE A DRINK” videos before the “tonight’s presentation” are an added plus that the YouTube side is missing out on, I fear. I enjoy it EVERY TIME, and I hate to bring it up given the topic/discussion or really part of the centerpiece of this film (body/the aging of a woman + her body), but Alanda’s body is insanely TEA! 🤌🏾 American Eagle should take notes because THOSE are some good genes.

Safi Musgrove

HORROR MOVIE OF THE DECADE!!

chuuzus

Oh heck yeah! Ready with my snacks 🩷🍿

Terese Osland

Omg when I say “do it, lady!” Nobody ever knows what I’m referencing. This made me literally laugh out loud 🤣

Nik

Yes finally I’m seated… while at work 😂

Nik

going to be so real: yeah the smoothie was a mistake

Em

Yay!!! Just popped some Popcorn and now I get to enjoy this on my day off! 🥰

Matise Benign

Yes!!! Literally laying on the beach watching this! Me time is important! 🤌🏼

Owen Zacchara

I can't deal with teeth in horror with them falling out made me sick but that's what we're here for I guess lmao 🤣 such a great film demi slayed!

The Cinema With James

That scene was so incredibly well done, broke my heart.

Nemo-the-Red

Can’t wait to decompress this evening to this!!!

K Monroe

this is a perfect gift for my birthday even though you dont know me so THANK U

Em

Grossest part in the entire movie is Dennis Quaid and the shrimp. I can’t even with that.

Aaron Johnson

This is the reaction I’ve waited on most this year…my body is ready.

Carlos

Oooooooo... I'm going to watch this tonight when my day is done. Something to look forward to! Justice for Elisasue*!

Santiago Hardy

Posted right when my lunch ends💔 no but I’ve been wanting to see this movie so I’m glad it’ll be with you🫶

Heart

This movie shocked me in many ways but overall I didn't expect to be nearly brought to tears by Demi's performance. When she wanted to go on that date but couldn't make herself leave the house and looking in the mirror and hating what she saw... OUCHY!!!

Lailah Johnson

ugh I still haven't been able to eat chicken since watching this 😭

Alanda

This reaction has been a long time coming omg god bless you queen

James Roman

I’m at work and this is a blessing 🤩

Andy

WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

RJ

FINALLLYYY SOME GOOD FUCKING FOOD.

Lailah Johnson

YESSSSSSSSSSS
