And I loved the confirmation that Kimberly (and Officer Burke) are the only survivors of the franchise. Tony Todd's scene here was so great, especially because they allowed him to improvise the ending of his scene because they knew he was sick and it couldn't have been more perfect

Towards the end of his scene when he starts to give his monologue, they let him say whatever he wanted. So that's what he lead with. Jennifer's back as Julie and no spoilers but whenever you can watch it for the channel once it's on digital stay to the end credits sets up a sequel and you'll be GAGGED at who the cameo is.

This is easily the best FD for me. It's such a wonderful love letter to the series as a whole, the angle of generational deaths and family trauma, and that brilliant yet devastating final moment with Tony Todd (RIP to such a legend) really made it something special. It made me laugh, flinch, and cry a little. And man, oh man, do I feel so bad for the dad and the aunt. Death didn't target them, but it made them suffer so much loss.

It was so good and they did an amazing job bringing this back after so many years and probably delivering the best of the franchise. Pretty good characters and acting, well-executed deaths and that Tony Todd scene was so amazing and heartbreaking! Also Alanda, going to see I Know What You Did Last Summer tonight. I’m so glad I saw it before you reacted to it so I didn’t have to hold off on watching your reaction. I too think Bloodlines is probably the best movie in the franchise. It was very well thought out and put together, I was very surprised after what was for me two pretty disappointing movies before it. Stef and Charlie dying at the end was sad but necessary in order to explain Bludworth’s absence from future movies. With them all dead, we can assume death got him afterwards so for me it was the only ending we could get.

2025-07-17 09:17:28 +0000 UTCThey had to kill them all off in order to explain Bludworth’s absence in future movies. He said that once they’re all dead, death is coming for him. So with everyone else dead, it can be assumed that death got him afterwards. So for me the ending doesn’t ruin the movie.

I actually cared about all of the family members unlike the previous films that have one or two characters you're meant to hate. The explanation of Tony Todd's character was so good. Some trivia you might not know: a) the older woman on fire in the premonition holds the record for the oldest stunt person to be set aflame. b) Tony Todd’s final lines before he exits about cherishing life and appreciating the time you have left weren’t in the script — totally improved. c) if you pay close attention, during Eric’s MRI death, when the rods of the wheelchair impale him through his skull chest tattoo, it replicates the poster for FD5. d) during the end credits you can see that the shitty ass kid from the beginning grew up to be a thief and ended up dying by a truck that was moving a piano.

Edit: I was just happy to get more Alanda and fully expected to roll my eyes like I did with most of the later films of this franchise, BUT WHY WAS THIS MOVIE ACTUALLY GOOD AF?!?!?!?!
