I'd also recommend paying attention to lines that don't make sense. If a character says something to another character but you think their response is strange, pay attention to that.

Haunting of Hill House has become an annual watch for me in October, because it continues to be amazing. Theo's actress is in a movie called Hush directed by Mike Flanagan and I think you'd enjoy it as a gal who enjoys a resourceful final girl. For your new set up, the sound volume isn't quite as steady as it was with your prior set up, but I could hear everything, so with some tweaking I think you'll be good to go. I do hope you find some ways to adjust your mic positioning. With it off to one side, I worry you might strain your neck or stress your shoulder from leaning more to one side in your chair. If you're comfortable then that's wonderful, but please try to take care and maybe do some stretches and things. I'd hate for you to end up hurting from sharing content with us. Take care of yourself first and foremost!

Some quick notes for the recording: 1) Your audio seems to come in and out, like you're getting farther away. It's not bad but is noticeable compared to other videos. 2) I would be careful with the videos, other Patreons I subscribe will blur the show/tv because there have been multiple occasions the videos will later be blocked/deleted due to not blurring. Wanna tell you now, so that way there's less chance of losing a whole tv series later on. Could have it blurred and do a quick count down so people can sync up. This will also let you not worry about the show/movie audio being louder than you speaking.

I do think it was a very misunderstood show when it released as many people were expecting it to be Hill House 2.0, when it's actually more of a haunted, Gothic romance. I do hope you react to it at some point. The Flannigan show I would love for you to tackle next would be Midnight Mass, though. I really don't want to say too much, as I think going into one of Mike's shows is going in as blind as possible. Even with shows like Hill House, Bly Manor, and The Fall of the House of Usher -- all of which are based on source material -- he does a great job of adapting those stories. Hill House is VERY different than Shirley Jackson's original novel (fun fact, this is where the character of Shirley's name came from), and honestly it's better than the book.

I cant remember if you have seen The Shining but Mike Flanagan did the sequel Doctor Sleep, both are great watches (and if you can find it, there is a TV miniseries version of The Shining that I think is pretty great).

It's based on the same book this show is based on and it would be a cool contrast, going from a very modern tv adaptation to a very old-school film one for the same story.
