January Story Poll Results!

I hope you had a good time, didn't have too many fist fights over politics with your families, and got at least one good pair of warm socks for Christmas. Or, you know, whatever your personal preference was, if not warm socks. ;-)
Back to the topic at hand, though...we have Poll Results to get too! You might be able to guess which story won by the AI image I threw up for the Holiday Theme :-p, but let's take a look anyway!

Holy cookies, not-batman! I think this may actually be the first ever time a story has broken 200 votes in the poll! Somehow, I keep underestimating just how popular Why Was There No Truck?! is. Probably because it was originally an extra with a much more nebulous concept than my other works, not to mention having a near-SI, which I have a bit of a mental hiccup expecting to be popular. Well, those bits and the fact it actually doesn't have any real lemon content yet, and I know you guys often vote with For the Horny as a warcry ;-). Still, obviously no question about it, Why Was There No Truck?! takes an utterly unambiguous win this time, and will be updated in January!
As for the rest of the results. I'm pleased with how well Stripper With a System did, given it's currently the newest and shortest of my stories. Harry Potter: Pandora's Box also put up a solid fight, and both of them will have the same boost next month, so they each have a solid chance at a win. I was pleased to see My Hero Automata also did decently, considering it had no boost. Since it will have a Boost next month, there's at least a chance of win there, which would push that story fairly close to the finish line.
A Very Confused Pokémon Adventure, on the other hand, got it's weakest result ever. Which is a little disappointing? Hopefully, that is just because it was recently updated, not because people didn't like the update? I'd honestly have thought the near cliff-hanger it was left on and how vocal people are in the currently ongoing polls for Zoey's Next Pokemon and 2B's Next Pokemon would have meant a stronger result for it...
Well, one way or another, we have our winner this time! Not to mention signs of some strong contenders for next month's poll!

Fair :-). Personally I want Automata to win like...twice more. Since 2-3 updates are all it needs to finish up and that would remove one of the stories from the poll. Five is honestly a bit much.

In example, not closing the monthly polls until near the end of the month, as I need to start planning for whichever story I'll start writing on the 1st. I probably won't close the pokemon polls until it actually wins again...

2025-12-27 22:57:37 +0000 UTCFor me at least, "Pokémon Adventure" was a victim of strategic voting. That is to say it had the smallest boost (none) on my personal favorites so I used my votes on one I thought more likely to win.
